I doubt that the plants would be as prevalent in the 2nd pic if it were MOTS.  Also, GLADoS looks in one piece in the first pic, which is definitely not the state in which we left her.  

Time will tell.

I think "outside the walls" is implied in the cover shot.

I'm so excited for this.  Portal is the only game ever that I've played through more than twice.

saw an ad on gamestop and cant wait, coop with multiple portals with different frequencies would be complex, but if you and someone are good at speedrunning, just imagine how fast and crazy some chapters could get.

Delayed

Today, the Seattle-area studio announced that its follow-up to 2007's award-winning Portal has been bumped to 2011 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game had previously been scheduled to arrive this fall.

According to the studio, Portal 2's delay came about as part of "the successful completion of an ethics-review-panel-supervised release date restructuring process," and that "public safety concerns factored into the decision." Valve also noted that "the game will be even better" as a result of the push.

Saw the interview on G4 - single player is twice as long as the campaign in original Portal, and co-op story (completely separate) is also twice as long as the original campaign. Will be on PS3, XBOX, PC and Mac.

IIRC Portal took 2 and a half hours to finish.  so P2 should take 5 hours for SP, 5 for Co-op and then there will probably be challenges.  it also wouldn't surprise me if they bundled it with something else.

I really have to wonder what is taking episode 3 so long.  I think Bioshock 2 was made in the time I've been waiting for Ep3 to come out.  Even for Valve time, this is taking quite a while.  I wonder if Gabe came into the office one day and said "No more Halflife!  I'm sick of that shit!" and that was that.  It would be nice if valve said something.  Even if it was,"We're working on a new engine, so don't hold your breath for Ep3." would be fine.

It may even have been BOTH Bioshock 1 & 2.  

I'll actually be a little bummd out if they go with a new engine for 3.  It feels less a part of a whole that way.

Took me about 4 hours (all three times I played it), so 8 hours seems like a reasonable timeframe.  Stuff I've read before mentioned that the SP was going to be a full-length game.  Add in co-op, you'll have enough for a full release.

Guess Sony really wanted Valve games on their systems to let them pull this kind of stuff. Although that is one of the benefits of having an open multiplayer system I guess.

This sort of advancement is what I've been waiting for in the gaming world.  Can you imagine a world where MP games are platform agnostic?

since the steam version is supposed to come on a voucher I'm thinking of buying the PS3 version, using the voucher and then trading in the game right away.

Future implications could be huge.  What if the next half-life or l4d3 are steam/ps3 cross-platform too?
