Link! Also, is this PC only? I just started replaying Portal when it went on sale a couple of weeks ago on the 360 (3rd playthrough - a first!). Unfortunately, I'm already heading to the endgame. Much as I love it, I don't see myself turning around and going again. |

Long story short:
1) You bring the new blinking radios to certain areas in every single level to get rewards.
2) Said rewards are either voice clips or other things.
3) People digging through the game files have realized that some/most of the voice clips are actually image files.
4) Said image files create an md5 hash code that goes to a BBS system that's Glados related.
5) As of last check, nobody knew the user/password to log into said site.
And that was all figured out with the collective internet rushing to solve this riddle. Oh, and it was like less than 6 hours after patching or something.

People were able to log in to the BBS using backup/backup. There are a lot of text files and ascii art in there that people are trying to decipher.

I'm not sure which is more disturbing: that the developers thought setting up a riddle this complicated was a good use of their time or that there are apparently an awful lot of people out there with so much free time to spend chasing it down.

Is the embedded video in that joystiq link working for anyone else? It's just an empty white space and if I right click on it, it says "Movie not loaded..." I used to have a similar problem with voodooextreme, but managed to get videos working on that site only to find joystiq videos not working. |

Others have said this, but they really need to put a robotic voice filter on the personality sphere guy, assuming that's the final voice actor for that. Still, it's going to be nice having more more interesting conversation while playing through the game. The new animation they're doing for this is amazing too. Awfully expressive for robots.  |
