Hey gang, I'm starting up HL2 to get some gaming in and I've had to wait 10 minutes now for it to validate my game files.  I've already been playing for a week now.  What's the scoop?  Has this happened to anyone else?

I did this manually after I downloaded everything just to ensure there were no errors.  I haven't had it verify them automatically, though.

Had that happen today as well. Guess the past few times where I just started HL2 and played right away was pissing Valve off too much. Can't have that.

Well this is just silly.  It seems that every time I play CS and then play HL, it validates my game files.  Getting this game to start is a chore.  I hope the trend dies here.
