Sony said they were waiting for Microsoft to make their announcement first, didn't they? Unless they said that just to make MS think they had extra time, when in fact Sony intended to reveal first all along paranoid

Why do we even need new consoles at this point? Is there a reason for this arms race other than for them to say we have a new one? Doesn't seem like either company really needs to do this yet. Just seems silly.
