I haven't had a sub to GI in about 2 years (and haven't been in a GS in about as long) so how do i suddenly have a one year subscription? Is this a new way to expand their base- reaching out to past subscribers- to get more $$$ for ads?

I've asked everyone I know who might get me one, and they all said they didn't sign me up.

Thoughts?

I'm assuming you also haven't bought a GameStop member card?  (whatever they're called these days)  Getting one of those comes with a free subscription.

That's how I get my monthly GI magazine, via a Gamestop Rewards card. It's a pretty well written magazine, I'm happy with it.
