Apparently the cast from Disagea are recruitable once you satisfy certain criterion.

The link above is for a contest on guessing who are the hidden characters in this game.  From what I have read so far, this game is as freaking hilarious as Disagea.

On a similar note, has anyone seen the following images?

I thought the second one where Laharl is wearing the costume of Ash and Prinny as Putties is pretty funny.  biggrin

Nippon Ichi has added some really cool features to this game.  Some of them are brought over from La Pucelle/Disgaea/Phantom Brave.

Now you can construct various building in your Castle as per city-building games.  You can then call these buildings into the tactical battles.  The buildings can hold various minions or tanks.  That's right, there is mech/tanks that you can build/upgrade in this game.  You can order your minions to hop in and operate them.

Now you have to attack enemy's building and defend yours as well, which may yield loot if you destroy it.  Even more, you can now pick up various objects around the map and throw them into your building, which may have a chance of capturing it a la Phantom Brave.

Thanks for the info Galadriels. Hadn't heard about the building stuff. I loved Disagea and La Pucelle (and have Phantom Brave, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet), and always looking forward to another Nippon Ichi game.

Prinny dude!

They're also working on a game called Makai Wars for the PSP, which will presumably tie in with Makai Kingdom.

So, I have a question (two actually, but the other question is a spoiler to the end of Disgaea so I won't ask)

Is Captain Gordon and crew back for this?

And if the answer isn't no, then I will never buy this.
