Famitsu has two pieces of expected news regarding the Persona series, and one not-so-expected one.  First, as with Persona 3 Portable, Atlus is bringing Persona 4 to the Vita as Persona 4 Golden, and it will feature a new character and other new features.  Also, Atlus confirmed that Persona 5 is is development, but there's no word on what platform it will be for.  As for unexpected news, Arc System Works, makers of the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue games, are working on a fighting game featuring Persona 3 and 4 characters.  NeoGAF has a thread with all the details.

fucking atlus might make me buy a vita.

Pumped to finally get a Persona game on next gen. Makes sense, I'm pretty sure Catherine exceeded their expectations.

At this point, another Persona game in the P3 / P4-style would almost single-handedly sell me on buying its platform.  It's probably healthy for the team to have taken some time off to work on a completely different franchise like Catherine, but man: I can't wait for new Persona....

There are some screenshots for P4G and the fighting game here.  The fighting game looks really beautiful, and it looks like you'll both your characters' weapons and their personae.

I got an email from Atlus today announcing that the fighting game, dubbed Persona 4 Arena, will be coming to the US this summer.

just read that Persona 4 Arena will be region locked.  figured I'd give anyone interested a heads up in case someone was thinking of importing:

So crazy that, believe it or not, this is the first game since the release of the PS3 in 2006 to ever feature complete region-locking.

I can't imagine their reasoning behind this.  Who would import a game from Japan that's coming out in the US two weeks later?

Might have something to do with music licenses.

Atlus has explained that the region-locking is to prevent Japanese buyers from importing the much cheaper US version.
