I'm without my laptop for a while but would still like to have some decent gaming while I'm in call at work. The work PC is decent but I don't have admin privileges. Our techs are cool but they don't want to get into trouble by installing non-sanctioned software.
So, does anyone know of any decent PC games that don't require admin rights to install and play? I'm not into FPS if that helps.

If the road home crosses any landscape features that include words like "forgotten," "void," "razorthorn," "shadowmist," or "doom," then I vote that we take a nap first.

Flash games on Newgrounds if the firewall will allow it is what I would do...

Do you mean stuff like Dwarf Fortress, Cave Story and King of Dragon Pass or are you thinking of something more like Quake Live, Age of Empires Online and Command and Conquer Tiberium Alliances (or the frostbite 2 beta)?
FTL might work, but my copy is on steam so I can't really check.

Minecraft is just an .exe file, right? No install?

it creates a folder under C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft for saves and other files.

No preference really. Just looking for some solid games that I can run on the office computer.

I'm not sure how well it would work, but could you run games off of an USB drive?

I tried to download Minecraft's demo, but it won't let me register for a Mojang account. It refuses to accept that the passwords are the same no matter what I do. Sigh. This is cursed!
