"'Ground Zeroes' is a prologue of MGSV," Kojima said. "9 years after that event will be 'The Phantom Pain.'" Metal Gear Solid 5 comprises these two parts, much like Metal Gear Solid 2 opened with the Tanker chapter, then moved onto the Plant portion starring Raiden.

Fauxtaku @Fauxtaku 2h RUMOR: The post-credit phone call in MGS V: Phantom Pain is Kojima firing David Hayter. David Rayfield @RaygunBrown 6m Wait, calm down. There will be another MGS5 trailer with David Hayter saying “Kept you waiting huh?” and so on. Everything will be fine. Steve Climaco @jjammerzs 2h No David Hayter as Snake in MGSV, but I hear Michael Ironside voices one of the horses featured in the game. #MGSV MAIM TO PLEASE @ericlide 1h David Hayter's Voice To Be Metal Gear Solid V $4.99 Day 1 DLC

Hold the phone people Kojima mentioned once again that Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain will be released separately. "We can't comment just yet on how these things will be distributed and sold," he said. Ground Zeroes, the prologue, will come first, Kojima said, and will introduce players to the gameplay "on a smaller scale."
He also confirmed that voice actor David Hayter was not asked to perform for MGS5. "Yes, I can say it will be a new person. I can't say who." This reflects Kojima's desire to set Metal Gear Solid 5 apart as a "new Metal Gear game."
The interview is densely packed with information, including details about the open-world gameplay and the reasoning behind the switch to Roman numerals. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/29/kojima-explains-metal-gear-solid-5s-mogren-fakeout-hayters/

okay "released separately"?...I hope they are both full games then,or maybe not and one will be released with Z.O.E 3 from that link: "We found a Swedish guy to stand in" wait,he was really Swedish??,i thought him actually being Swedish was the biggest fakery of this whole shabang I wonder why he can't say who will be voicing snake?,Famous Actor or will naming him somehow give something away or maybe he doesn't want Hayter Lovers from lynching the guy The GameTrailers video in the link is not playing for me,so why does he switch to Roman Numerals?...please don't tell me its just so they can use that accent to say "V has come around"
Oh and this morning i read that this will be Hideo's last Metal Gear game I think he has said the same thing after MGS2,MGS3 and MGS4..so maybe its just tradition for him to say that nowEDIT: Okay,it still wouldn't play so i downloaded it to my PC and played it through Quicktime(which i am not really a fan of either)..then noticed the Xbox Live logo at then end,and remembered there is a GameTrailers App on XBL...d'oh!!

Been talking on the MGS forums about this, lots of good little ideas and theories as usual,as only a MGS game can produce One thing about Hayter not coming back for the voice,Hideo says he wanted to make this a new Metal Gear game,as a soft reboot of sorts, but if that's true, then how come Akio Ōtsuka is still doing the voice of Snake in the Japanese language version? and as always there is a petition http://tinyurl.com/btyz29halready has 7000 signatures still wondering about how Snake looks younger after the accident when he is on the motorcycle at the end of the trailer(with the piece of debris sticking out of his head!),and whether it has anything to with "Two Phantoms were Born" ...lots of secrets still I reckon the accident has somehow created a doppelganger of Big Boss,LOL..you know how Hideo likes to add the supernatural into his games

Official statement from David Hayter http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1rjhhf9He could of chose a better day to release this,or perhaps that's just me still clutching at straws METAL GEAR V
By
David Hayter
So,
Here’s a recap of events:
I have been up in Toronto, for the past eight months, directing my first film, (WOLVES -- 2013, TF1/COPPERHEART). On the December break, I came home to Los Angeles for the holidays. I heard then, that recording sessions for MG:V were being put together.
But I didn’t hear anything about whether I’d be needed or not.
So, I got in touch with someone involved in the production. We got together for lunch, and he told me that they "wouldn’t be needing me" on this game. No reason, or explanation was given beyond that.
And that was it.
I drove home through Laurel Canyon, bummed, and thinking about Snake.
To be clear, I love being a part of the world of Metal Gear. I admire its technological innovations, the gameplay, the political message of it all. But primarily, I love the fans of these games. Two grown men burst into tears upon meeting me at the Vancouver Fan Expo last year.
Now that... Is a rare and excellent role. You know you’re making an impact.
And I love doing it.
In 1998, I tried to do come up with a voice which epitomized the kind of worn, put-upon, genetically-engineered clone-soldier that I saw Snake to be. Over time, as the games became more stunning and visually sophisticated, I tried to transition that initial voice into the increasingly real environments in which Snake found himself. My level of success is up to you, but any perceived deficiencies were not for lack of hard work. I have dedicated a huge amount of time and effort into creating a compelling character, capable of expressing the myriad emotional, physical and psychological hurdles that Snake has to face.
Anyway, now it’s been fifteen years, nine games, and an enormous blast to undertake.
If it were my choice, I would do this role forever. To hear anyone else’s voice coming from Snake’s battered throat, makes me a little ill, to be honest.
But the truth is -- it’s not my choice. Any and all casting decisions are the sole purview of Hideo Kojima, and Konami itself. And that’s fair.
And I’ll get by. I am not lacking for employment on any level.
But I didn’t want anybody to think that I was intentionally abandoning them.
And know that I will miss this job, and this character, very much.
My best wishes to you all,
David Hayter

It's Kojima and Hayter. Honestly, I suspect that the decision to release this statement on April 1st is definitely a sign since Kojima is known for pulling stunts. And who really signs a statement with the date at the bottom anymore? So skepticism about what's going on it healthy in this situation. We have a known prankster, and a known date for elaborate pranks.
Think about it this way. Hayter is an accomplished writer and voice actor, he wouldn't jeopardize his professionalism by starting something like this, even if courteous, it's still unprofessional to start a kind of petition just to get a job that's already been decided on.

I didn't see a petition. And it is very professional. People do this all the time, since it helps both sides. It puts the actor in a good light because he responded to the fans and showed that he cared. For the other side, it quiets down the noise quite a bit. None of that means it isn't an April Fools/PR stunt.

The petition has now got 11,500+ signatures, not bad for a week since hearing that Hayter(possibly)wont be snake EDIT: Defo looks younger there...which leads us to believe is after the coma, because of the robotic arm(the same one the Russian guy had in Peace Walker..but right hand) Than here, this part is supposed to be Ground Zeroes before the coma

Well, they already established that he's beeing rebuilt by nanomachines over the course of MGS4. And then there's the horn.
But as always, there's more to this with Kojima.
