This month's secret demo for OXM is Metal Wolf Chaos from From Software.
Very wacky premise: The United States has been taken over by terrorists, so naturally the President (you) puts on the battle suit to take care of it personally, and even more naturally, he heads to San Fransisco's Chinatown. Because the terrorists have taken over, but he wants to grab a couple of pork buns, I guess.
The game looks great and is very easy to pick up and play. The dialogue is in English, so that helps (though the writing is beyond cheesy, which goes with the premise, but not with the stunning graphics). It's goofy fun to have the suit voice calling you Mr. President.
Here is the code that worked for me, but it was a little wonky, so good luck (I may need a new controller):
[hold down the left shoulder while entering] L X Y U A Y B U D D Y R R R Back
Other demos:
ESPN NHL 2K5 SW Battlefront Outlaw Golf 2 Rocky Legends Forza Motorsport Conker
Kind of weak, except for the last two which may make it all worth it (though Forza is not my cup of tea, as it turns out).

Isn't that the premise from the Robot Jocks/Robot Wars movies?
I enjoy From's titles, but I can't imagine this one getting the green-light here.
Then again, it's so crazy it just might work!

Is there a secret demo every month? And if so, is there a place where I can find the code for those other ones?

There's usually just a movie (sometimes something filmed in-house at OXM). But this month and last month they've had import demos which is great.

Yeah, what was last month's and how do I get it? Check out this thread for the Phantom Dust demo. I've also included links to instructions on how to play.

What's amazing is that I am supremely lazy, yet I posted the codes for both this month and last. Usually, I just wait and wait and keep checking the message boards until someone else cracks. What is happening to me?

Well, the Conker demo is impressive...I laughed quite a few times. Forza is...well...it looks nice. May be too realistic...gotta try that secret demo.

As to Metal Wolf : it feels like the spiritual successor to GunValkrie ... it is a blast, and I couldn't stop laughing at the almost engrish dialog ... "Way to go, Mister President!"
(FYI, the premise is that the driver of the mech is the president of the united states... )

Well, the Conker demo is impressive...I laughed quite a few times. Really? I found it annoying and I was really looking forward to it so I was very let down. The shooting control was all over the place, and the fact that I didn't know how many bullets I had left was even more annoying. I kept having to reload at the worst times. It all just felt loose and sloppy. Sure, the cut scenes were a little funny, but I got tired of the "pop out" enemies really quick. It also get very predictable too quickly, e.g, "uh oh, here's an empty hall wa with a box and a ceiling vent half-way down; I wonder if some Teddiz will jump out of no where right when I pass those items!"

I thought the Conker demo was a lot of fun. I was impressed with the boss fight at the end of the level and the graphics are just through the roof awesome. Never played the N64 game, so I was pleasantly surprised with how fun the game was to play. My only complaint with the demo was the voice acting. It got old l.istening to Conker screech "I hate Tediz" in this croaking voice over and over again.
I'm almost tempted to pick this one up after playing the demo, but I've never been a fan of bathroom humor and I think the satire aspect falls flat. The demo level was supposed to be a satire of Saving Private Ryan and WWII movies, but very little of the "humor" in the level had anything to do with WWII at all.
I'll probably pass on it, as there is so many other good games to play at this point.

(FYI, the premise is that the driver of the mech is the president of the united states... ) Thanks for the recap, Purge. I liked the Conker demo, too, but agree that if there isn't much variation in the combat, it would get old fast. As I understand it, though, that's exactly what happens. I never played the N64 version, but it was certainly lauded for more than just it's funny writing and voices. My hopes are still high.
