Looks like the PSeye supports head tracking.  War Thunder will use it if you get the eye.

I'm honestly not sure what I'm going to get for the PS4 when it comes out other than the obvious free PS+ games.  Killzone is the most likely, but I don't play many first person shooters on console and I haven't played any previous Killzone games, so that lowers my interest quite a bit.

You didn't miss much.  The previous Killzone games are bland to average.  This game was supposed to be the answer to the huge Xbox hits like Halo and Gears but it's just too formulaic and I doubt the new one will be much different.  The multiplayer seems better though if you are into that.

Yeah, the Killzone Multiplayer is quite good. I may be in the minority, but I enjoyed the Story in Killzone 2 and 3. Just picked up Killzone for the Vita during this whole Spend 50, Get 10 promo they have going on now. Hope it's good. smile

Makes perfect sense. It'd be a "nice-to-have" but it certainly wouldn't be a dealbreaker (for me at least). Now, not being able to go VERTICAL ... slywink

Sounds like in Europe Sony is going to match or better the xbox ones pre-order free game deal. (same price as xbox one with free game but also including an extra controller and PS eye). I would be jealous but I think we can buy a PS4, Killzone, an extra controller and the PS eye for less than the price of the Euro bundle.

SONY-Suggested Retail Prices are 55-60

Right now the RRP in the UK for games are 39.99-49.99,and generally sell for 40-45(unless you are called Activision and your RRP on COD is 55 already),if they do stay as high as 55-60quid in shops it looks like i will waiting for the bargain bin a lot more next gen

Dualshock 4 will work with Windows out of the box, or at least the basic functions of it will.

Quote
When asked on Twitter if Sony would release a driver for the DualShock 4 to make it compatible with Windows PCs, Yoshida tweeted back, "the analog sticks and buttons will work just fine." When pressed if this meant the controller would feature Windows compatibility by default, Yoshida responded it would, for "basic functions." What those functions are remains to be seen.

Yeah, which is why I don't get why anyone would do this.  Just wait a few more weeks for the PS4/XBO version and don't lose your progress.  I guess it's nice to have choices for the impatient. slywink

Yeah, the only reason to do the upgrade is if you absolutely must play the multiplayer a few weeks early. Playing the singleplayer on a current gen system followed by the next gen system will reduce some of the wow-factor and shine we get from playing a new game.

The digital versions can.

If you buy the game in stores though, then use the coupon inside to get the PS4 version for $10, then you have to have the PS3 disc in the drive to play the digital PS4 version.

That is part of the reason I got the PS3 versions preordered on PSN.

Nice!

So even though you couldn't play with yourself (ha!) on PSN, you could still have the game running on both machines - it'd work alright for having multi-gamers with only one next-gen console in the house.

I'm guessing the one who gets wedgies from the other would be relegated to the PS3 slywink

I believe that part does, yes.  I guess with CoD, the hardcore MP guys don't really care about single player.  I was more thinking about things like Black Flag.  In my mind, CoD doesn't even exist.

Does the upgrade promotion only run for a few weeks or something?  If it runs through to January, I imagine they want to lure in the masses expecting a new console on Christmas.

Plus there is the shear-thickening effect of the non-Newtonian physics relating to custard on the PS4, but the PS3 uses shear-thinning syrup.

Does the upgrade promotion only run for a few weeks or something?  If it runs through to January, I imagine they want to lure in the masses expecting a new console on Christmas.

I believe it runs through January for the Ubisoft games. It runs through March for COD and BF4.

Note for those buying PS3 games to upgrade for $10, the SP saves will not carry over.

That is supremely irritating.

Is there some computer jargon gobbledegook reason for this that I don't understand?  How is this a helpful service now?

apparently the zero's and ones aren't compatible.

I heard the bandwidth IRQ toggles weren't vertically inclinated enough to support crossmogrification between the substaining cores.

Plus there is the shear-thickening effect of the non-Newtonian physics relating to custard on the PS4, but the PS3 uses shear-thinning syrup.

Oh, well, now it all makes sense.  The PS4 doesn't have enough jigawatts to make it possible.
the only power source capable of generating enough jigawatts of electricity is a bolt of lightning.

What did you say?
A bolt of lighting. Unfortunately, you never know when or where it's ever gonna strike.  which is why we can't have save games transfer.  ergo, why this promotion stinks
