Looks like they upgraded the infantry technology for ISA troopers in Killzone. Was that powered armor for the main character? I figured they would take the gameplay in that direction.

Sony had all these years to get BC right this time, and instead it's as if they didn't even try.

Even if they offered a "premium" version that cost a little more with BC it'd be worth it.. for those of us who want it. For those who don't, you aren't "paying" for it.

I'm half way tempted to move over to the 360 fully because of this, or just stick with PC gaming since games from 15 years ago still work today.. even Quake 1. It's nice to know that when you pay $50+ for a game that it'll still work come the next generation.
Seems the only way to future proof your investment is with a PC.

And yes, if you couldn't tell, I'm really disappointed over this!

Ironically all this social feature stuff we did 20 years ago.  Show off a game your playing, help a buddy, direct a friend through a hard level, talk trash, Play together with no lag?  yep, we did it all 20 years ago, it's called actually being with friends... physically in the same room, imagine that.  Oh and all that instant game access, yeah we had that too 20 years ago, it was called a cartridge.

I'm not watching the feed, but I'm with you on this.

It means I will likely be waiting on the PS4 at least.

I know BC is irrelevant to a lot of people (though why they feel the need to insist it must, therefore, also be irrelevant to me is beyond me), so why not have it as an option for those of us wanting to buy it?

I can tell you why this is happening: They want us to digitally buy all these games again.  And years down the road, I might do that, but for now I have a bunch of PS3 games I haven't finished, and I don't want to have two Sony consoles taking up space in my cabinet.

It's nice to see another Infamous game, but that presentation was hilariously overdone and melodramatic.  As far as backwards compatibility goes, why don't people just keep their old consoles?  I've got my old PS1, PS2, and XBox all still hooked up, and they work fine.  It does create a bit of clutter, but it allows me to play all my old games.
