Onimusha 3 - what a spectacular opening cut scene!

That opening cut scene is just incredible.  It is beautiful, and very, very long.

I have only played a few minutes into the game so far but I think I will rewatch that cinematic a ton of times.

Yeah it was pretty amazing - Must've cost a few bucks to throw that thing together!

I think what I found most suprising was the lack of loads.  It was one long video.  Must have been huge.

Loren.....You didn't mention the awesome but strange Katana controller for this one?

For those who don't know, the Katana controller is sword, with several buttons on it.  You can set it up so that instead of mashing buttons to hit things, you can swing the katana around.  It's an interesting concept.  I have not heard how well it works.

It just sounds so geeky.  I can't imagine standing in my living room (since you couldn't do a good swing sitting down) swinging a plastic sword around - at least not without closing all the shades.

I'd probably get very tired very fast using the Katana sword.  Plus, it's $150.  

Granted, I did buy Steel Battalion, which is virtually the same investment, but the big difference is that the SB controller lets me sit down when I use it.  Big difference.

And yeah, the opening cinema is incredibly gorgeous.  Almost makes me sorry they made a game, and not a full movie.

Also, did anyone else think it was a bit silly of the evil guy to have the nerve center of his ship/bug thing be so exposed and so easily cut?  He shoulda read the Evil Genius Guide.
