I have two ps2's right now.  One I got refurbished, one my friend gave me.  I had a third but I think I set in on fire and danced naked around it, chanting ancient pixel war chants.

Regardless, neither of the two I have in front of me right now works.  One makes a horrible, soul twisting noise when I insert a disc.  The other?  Only the 2nd player controller port works.  And that brings me to my question.

Why in the name of all that is playable do many ps2 games require you to interact/play through the first game port?  Some don't.  Sports games could give a shit what port your controller is in.  So could Culdcept.  Disgaea?  Bent me over a $50 reciept and made me cry for my mommy.

I know my ps2 is crap.  That I understand. It is cheap hardware, the shit fails.  But the games...Why, why, why do they only let the left port (controller one) controll everything?

That is all.
