Looking at the coming months of PC games I find there is hardly anything that I'm actually excited about.  There are a few that I think "that will probably be decent (if only a re-tread of something that's been done before)", but nothing that really revs my engine.

Am I the only one feeling this?

MVP Baseball 2005 (2-22)
Nexus: The Jupiter Incident (2-22)
Sims 2 University (2-28)
Star Wars: Republic Commando (2-28)
Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich (3-8)
Project: Snowblind (3-8)
Act of War: Direct Action (3-15)
Stolen (3-22)
Matrix Online (3-22)
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (3-29)

That takes you through the end of March.

First things first: I hate sports and space.  Knock a couple off your list.

Freedom Force: looks like more of the same, and I hardly played the first one despite the fun characters and diaglogue.

Matrix Online: I'll wait a few months to see if it's even playable.

I'm sorta interested in Republic Commando (although, surprisingly I enjoyed the demo on my XBox more)...doubt I'd pay full price for it.

Everything else falls into the category of "might be OK, but not worth spending my money on".

Well, I can't get excited about anything upcoming on the PC.

However,  Republic Commando and GT4 for consoles are interesting me slightly...

And,  Forza Motorsport and the new Conker game have me foaming at the mouth.

There's a host of other interesting xbox and ps2 games coming up as well.

Might be time to look into buying a console for the next 6 months of gaming if you havn't yet.  It looks real dry for PCs for the rest of the year.

Shouldn't Guild Wars be out by march as well?  Or has it been pushed past April?

Uh, I think you forgot Brothers in Arms.

Just in terms of shooters: BIA, Snowblind, and Republic Commando. WOW. going to be a frigging awesome month. have to finish doom3 first smile

Then nexus, which for me at least I am stoked for, and GT4 for consoles amongst others. tons of stuff.

After Rome Total War, I can't think of any PC game that I'm excited about.  Usually there are a few that I'm really looking forward to but I can only think of some that are still a long way off (e.g. Morrowind sequel).  The next SWAT game might have some potential, I should check out the demo.  I'm starving for a good new rpg (not massively multiplayer).  Of course there are still games coming out that I will buy but they are not the jaw-dropping GG effect type games.  RTW was the last of that caliber.

o_O

Isn't that Sim2 addon? I actually bought that game.  Worst mistake ever.  Can't get into it.  Maybe i should post it in the trade forum...

Yer right tho, i forgot about Brothers in Arms.  It does sound good.  Here's hoping biggrin

I'm disappointed in the reviews so far for Repub Commando.  Sounds like they could have done better on the gameplay even though the polish is all there.  I'm going to have to wait for it to hit the shelves and get some impressions here before i decide on it.  And i'm leaning towards xboxing that one instead of getting it for the PC.

Now Forza...its a crying shame thats not a PC game intead of xbox.  I'd much rather have that on my pc.

I really can't get excited about Snowblind at all.  Strikes me as MOTS in a bad way from what i've read including the stuff here.
