Wow this game is looking great.  I loved last year's.  This years looks even better!

Check out the new modes.  Instead of being the batter, you can be the runner.  Pretty interesting.

IN!!

ESPN has made the only console baseball game that has been any good at all - MVP and All-Star were crap, High Heat cheated.

Can't wait!!

I'll be taking the Angels in the GG league!

I looked at this the other day.  I figured it had to be soon since we didnt see one last year.  It looks fantastic, I am really going to miss the 19.99 for thier games though.  This looks like it should be worth it though.

Yeah, this is the game that looks like you need a Masters in Physics to understand the pitching.

"Excuse me while I draw up my vector diagram to figure out where I want the ball to cross the plate."

I am totally IN on this one.

Houston Astros claimed.  (not like this would be hotly contested anyway after the way this off-season is shaping up.)

But hey, at least they didn't rename themselves the "Houston Astros of Texas of the Southern States of the United States of America"

What do you mean?  There was an ESPN Baseball last year, I played it for months.

Also I believe this is also $19.99.  The normal price starts on the 2k6 series of espn brand games

IN

New York Yankees

Ok, I know.  I just made a ton of enemies.  I'm a big NY sports fan (except the Rangers - they have ZERO redeeming qualities).

This one should be interesting since Blue Shift is no longer developing it.

"interesting" is a good choice of words.

Blue Shift has always done fine by me.  It is safe to say that each and every year they have improved the game from the previous year, and always added something to make it more enjoyable.

Statistic-wise (if you are into such things), the game has also become more and more "accurate" as the years go on.  I sincerely hope this continues to be the case.

If not..... RENTAL!

So... with Football over, there are now two sports that I really get into.

1.  College Basketball  -  College Hoops 2k5 absolutely rocks, so video games wise, this sport is extremely well represented.

2.  Major League Baseball  -  ESPN 2k5... looks... freakin... amazing!

If you haven't checked out the two huge videos on IGN's site (can't link, I'm at work), do yourself a favor and check these out.  I have only watched the first one, which is basically 3 innings of a game between the A's and the Mariners.  I'm telling you right now, if the online play is lag-free, I can see you and I playing tons of 3-game series on this one Devil.  Absolutely can not get here quick enough.

Oh... and regarding the pitching video on the mainsite (linked above)... you have got to be kidding me, right?   I know I have joked about it before, but seriously, can the pitching model get any cooler than this?  Holy hell, I cannot wait!

Anyone have a release date on this?  I can't seem to find it anywhere.

We show 3/15 as release date.  We'll fine tune that shortly, though.   Keep an eye out on the release dates page smile
