Seriously? That can't be right. No kidding...most definitely not correct information. What it does is it enhances those games that were specifically developed to support it by, mostly by improving display resolution. DK 64 was the 1st to benefit from it; in fact it came bundled with the memory expansion unit. Some other games that I know supported it and received some notable improvements were: Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, Vigilante 8, Turok 3 and Excitebike 64. If you're looking for N64 games to get, Here's some suggestions of those that aren't currently available on Virtual Console: Goldeneye 64 Beetle Adventure Racing Banjo Tooie Banjo Kazooie Turok Turok 2 Wipeout 64 LoZ Majora's Mask Rayman 2 The Great Escape |

No no no. Superman 64 for the win!  And +1 to buying Conker. You'll never find another game at all like it on the N64 (for multiple reasons). And technically the Expansion Pak increases texture resolution (or allows it to hold more textures period), not display resolution. The N64 is not capable of displaying anything higher than the standard TV resolution of 320x240. At least I don't think it supported the 5 plug inputs (3 video, 2 audio)... SW:E1 Racer sucked balls, BTW. The Expansion Pak made it worse - the console wasn't capable of pushing that many polygons/textures, and as such the frame rate was an absolute joke. Remove the Pak, and the game looked like poo, but at least it was playable. |

I'll second kronovan's recommendation of Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It's a controversial opinion, but I maintain that it's a better game than Ocarina of Time, and the re-release they did on the GameCube suffered from some audio glitches and occasional crashing that mar the overall experience. Prior to Twilight Princess, Majora's Mask was my all-time favorite game in the franchise. Highly recommended! -Autistic Angel |

I'm surprised that was your experience, my son and I played that game for hours with the expansion pack enabled and had no problems with it. Are you sure you didn't just have your glasses on.  |
