Throwing this into the PC gaming, since the games I'd like to have revived are all from PC, but this doesn't mean this thread is PC exclusive.
Interstate '76 for one. Mechwarrior. Ultima. Wing Commander.
Syndicate is already on its way.
I also would like another Black and White game - one that can use Kinect / capacitive touch.

I'd like to see a MMO revived. Gameplay tweaked to be more in line with what we expect today (i.e. not as hardcore). Potential candidates: EQ1, DAOC, Shadowbane etc.

I concur with everything here that's something I played before. I'll toss in: -Volition's Freespace 1 & 2 (Volition guys have expressed interest in re-visiting it in interviews, but have admitted there just isn't a commercial market for space combat right now in the eyes of the bigger publishers) -Irrational's System Shock 2 (I realize Bioshock is a "spiritual" successor, but I'd still like a true update of SS2) -IO's Freedom Fighters (which won't happen because it "undersold," and because IO insists on beating the dead horse that is Hitman into the dirt until it becomes subterranean Elmer's Glue ) The Motion Sickness Vomit Brigade -Bullfrog's Magic Carpet-Volition's Descent*Even knowing full well they made me sick in their day, and would again today.

Some really good choices here. I'd like to see an update to the Wizardry "Dark Savant" trilogy. These were the last 3 Wiz games (6-8). The first two games were the traditional tile based games but Wiz 8 moved to 3D. From what I recall it did it successfully. It wasn't FPSish nor was it overly complicated as some RPGs that were moving to 3D became. And it made good use of the 3D terrain.
So an update or re-visioning of that trilogy would be fun.

In addition to all the ones listed so far, I'd like to see:
Wasteland (either a remake or sequel is supposedly in the works by inXile) Fallout 1 & 2 Neuromancer System Shock 1
...apparently I like dystopian futures.

I'd like to see modern remakes of these games:
Anachronox Baldur's Gate 2 (modern 3D engine and all) Half-Life (by Valve and not by fans that may never get finished) Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (modern adventure game engine) Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (the first game and with SaveAnywhere) MDK (this is what I want to be remade - not MDK 2) Realms of the Haunting Unreal
I'd like to see the following sequels:
Anachronox 2 Baldur's Gate 3 (but I dread how they might mess it up) The Dig 2 (or a similar science fiction adventure) Dreamfall 2 (lots of lose ends to deal with) Fallout 4 Full Throttle 2 Gabriel Knight 4 Gateway 3 (and this time in a modern adventure game engine) Grim Fandango 2 The Journeyman Project 4 Legend of Kyrandia 4 Monkey Island 5 The Nomad Soul 2 (Omikron) Outcast 2 (was actually in the works but alas was cancelled) System Shock 3 (lets have the DE:HR team have a go at it!) Thief 4 Tex Murphy adventure #6 (in a modern 3D engine with modern controls)

Nobody's mentioned Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri yet? How can this be?
I'll second Master of Orion...or GalCiv2, which was the next-best thing. We're due for a good TB galactic empire-builder, anyway.

Darkfall
I've played since launch and I'm amazed that despite its _very_ rough edges it doesn't have a larger following.
Once you get past the horrible UI and skill grind it is simply the most player skill intensive PvP MMO of all time. I just wish a competent developer owned the game so we could see an update once every millennium.

Autoduel : Keep the topdown view. Beef up the RPG elelments, add some multiplayer arena dueling and make it a PSN/XBLA title. Would make a fortune I think.
DAOC: 3 realms has never been duplicated, Hell add a 4th filled with Asian Mythology. Sign me up!
Wizardry 9 : Way past due. Keep the graphics simple if you like but keep the diverse character classes and funny voice overs "And up I go!" Another XBLA/PSN candidate?
Magic Carpet : with modern physics!
Freedom Force 3 : comic book games are better than ever, Time for a "For Freedom!" Sequel.

Really good choices so far.
A few of mine. Drakan Order of the Flame-who doesn't like a hot heroine
Crimson Skies- crazy airplanes and an alternate universe awesome voice acting I'm in
Hostile waters Anteaus Rising-for the awesome gameplay and unique concept
Dune-if you read the books, you gotta play
Unreal 2 the Sequel-loved the ship and crew, left us hanging-do it like Mass Effect 3

Crimson Skies: HRTR > Crimson Skies 1 (PC) - but I'm not picky, I'd take either. Another Jade Empire would be welcome. Given Bioware and EA's current success with Star Wars, it'd end up as an MMO.

Good Call, Kato! Which reminded me: Add Gladius as well. The game was good, the story... it needed some spirit. Nice one indeed. I remember waiting in hot anticipation for Halo 2 to finally come out, and when I finally had it, I actually played Gladius more that week. To add to the thread, I'd like a remake of Duke Nukem 3D. And just about any space combat game, from Wing Commander (hand drawn conversations aboard the Tiger's Claw!) to X-Wing Alliance (perfect amount of ship management options and music), ending with Freespace (make things go boom in an incredibly satisfying way). And for nostalgia's sake, Terror From the Deep! But reading up on the new X-Com game, I think Firaxis will really deliver here!

What a bizarre pair of obscure, under-appreciated games that I am total agreement with you on. I also want: Privateer Wing Commander: Armada (spaceship sim and turn based strategy, woo!) X-Wing, TIE Fighter series Starflight Rebellion Holy shit I really love space sci-fi, apparently. On the B-list I'll add that an inexpensive XBLA update to Gozilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee would be a lot of fun to see. Or whatever that other non-Godzilla giant monster game was that came out around the same time.
