I have one of these, which has survived hours upon hours of playing and taken me from the early days of Easy difficulty up to Expert. It's a joy to play and has real weight, making it feel like less of a toy and more authentic. Then again, I don't have a massive amount of experience with these controllers. The others I've tried haven't felt anywhere as solid as this one though.

Next week's DLC adds two more 3 packs to the perpetually growing Rock Band library. One pack features the return of Maroon 5, and the other introduces Puddle of Mudd to the RB set list, with one Pro Guitar upgrade per artist. Enjoy!
Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation®3 system (June 21):
· Maroon 5 – “Misery” · Maroon 5 – “This Love” X · Maroon 5 – “Won’t Go Home Without You” · Puddle of Mudd – “Blurry” · Puddle of Mudd – “Control” · Puddle of Mudd – “She Hates Me” X
(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation®3 system June 22)
These tracks will be available for purchase as “Maroon 5 Pack 02”, “Puddle of Mudd Pack 01” and as individual tracks on Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii. Tracks marked with “X” will include Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.
Price:
$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points) per song $2.00 USD (200 Wii Points™) per song $0.99 USD (100 Wii Points/80 Microsoft Points), £0.59 UK, €0.79 EU per song for eligible Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade $5.49, £2.49 UK, €3.99 EU (440 Microsoft Points, 550 Wii Points) for Puddle of Mudd Pack 01 $5.49, £2.49 UK, €3.99 EU (440 Microsoft Points, 550 Wii Points) for Maroon Five Pack 02
Pretty good week for DLC. I really like two of the Puddle of Mudd songs (She Hates Me and Blurry) and enjoy Maroon 5, so I think I will be getting both packs.

I need to replace one of my plastic guitars (the guitar hero 3 model gibsons just don't hold up long term with their detachable necks). Not sure I want to drop $60 on it though. Any comments on the durability of these controllers? Actually the GH3 Gibsons are by far the most solid. That's depressing. I've gone through four of them in three years. That's interesting. We have been through 2 RB1 guitars, 1 RB2 guitar, 1 GHWT guitar, and 1 GHWoR guitar but the GH3 Gibson is still working like a champ. Maybe we just got a good one.

I have 2 of the GH World Tour guitars, and they're solid, even better than the Explorer. You can pick them up on eBay for ~$25 each.

Yesterday was a sad day, as I finally deleted all my RB songs from my 360 hard drive to make room for other things. Figured it's been over a year since I played it...may as well call it quits.

Rockband 3 is now available on the Games for Windows Marketplace for $20.
I have been waiting for this since I have 2 rooms that I play Rockband in, one where my electronic drums are and the other when I just want to chill and enjoy the music while playing bass. Also the Xbox int the other room is starting to have trouble reading discs.

Especially because these three seem to make them like women haters, good as they are. On a side note, I wish they'd stop listing the indie tunes in the regular XBLM DLC section. Frequently they seem to take over the whole row, with two versions of every song. And there are a lot of songs.

Yep, I've been looking forward to the Huey Lewis Pack since they announced it back a couple months ago in their holiday livestream. I'm pretty happy with their choices for songs.....though I would like Heart and Soul at some point.

Men at Work's 'Down Under' and 'Overkill' plus Santana featuring Rob Thomas in 'Smooth' are out this week. In for Down Under and Smooth. hopefully Smooth is the first of many more Santana songs coming as DLC oh, and can't remember where I saw it but supposedly a huge Rock Band announcement is coming at PAX East.

interesting, wonder what it could be. i'd be shocked if it was another game. is it just about rock band? I thought it was a HMX in general, which lead me to believe another a small chance of another frequency/amplitude.
