From the "only in my dreams" DLC announcement.
The Canadian Pack.
Barenaked Ladies - One Week (singing about Chickity China the Chinese Chicken in a party setting would equal instand hilarity).
Our Lady Peace - Starseed
Finger 11 - Paralyzer
It will never happen, but I will continue to dream.

I made a similar suggestion to Harmonix a while back, noting that Canada Day fell on Tuesday this year. I even suggested the same BNL song, but tossed in Bryan Adams (Because it would make some peoples' heads explode. Plus "One Night Love Affair" would work pretty well, if a bit boring for the drummers.) and a Rush song, since the Rush fans would likely burn down the Harmonix office if a Canada set didn't have a Rush song in it.

DLC for June 10th (360) and 12th (PS3)MTV2 Pack The Material Moving to Seattle The Myriad A Clean ShotThem Terribles Bullets & Guns Maxïmo Park Girls Who Play Guitars**Track not included in MTV2 three-pak (All tracks utilize original master recordings) Price: $.99 (80 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) per track $2.99 (240 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for the MTV2 three-pack http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54653In for all four, since they're only a buck each. I can't find a full video for the other two. *shrug* It's all fairly obscure this week. Maximo Park is pretty awesome! The Myriad song is pretty good too.

Wow, that song blows. Definitely passing on the whiny emo crap. The girls and guitars one sounds okay, but nothing special.

I think I am going to grab the Motorhead pack for GH3 this week instead of 4 songs I have never heard of.

Is it possible to just link back to your previous complaints on this topic? That'd be more expedient than authoring a new one each week. I'm probably in for one or two of these, depending on whether a couple of youtube listens catch me. Love the 80 point pricing, of course.

Odd. I always thought the song was called "denoginizer." Or at least that's how my wife keeps singing it. "I'm de-no-gi-ni-zer, I seem to be struck by you."

I'd rather have Skid Row's Youth Gone Wild than Paralyzer (both based on the same Zeppelin song - Trampled Under Foot ... where's the Zeppelin songs?!!). Animal I Have Become (Three Days Grace) would be a much better pick. (CDN content too). [edit to add links]

anyone got links to expert drum videos for the new songs? some of them sound really fun, espcially moving to seattle. finally found one, moving to seattle: http://youtube.com/watch?v=kRQpbvz9DU4 horrible, horrible video though. another edit: better one with sound from the source: http://youtube.com/watch?v=PFHs5HkBBgAlooks pretty easy, but still looks kinda fun.

i checked there, i didn't see drums. anyways i nab all 4. they are all pretty fun to play. I liked A clean shot and Bullets and guns the best. I also picked up some new sticks today with some grips on them. They are nice. they feel a lot more comfortable too. they were only 9 bucks and change after tax. I would definitely pick em up.

I don't think it'll be this week. Apparently those songs are still in testing. So the good news is that they're coming eventually, but likely not in the immediate future.

Really, all this means is that some work has been done on these songs - not that they're coming tomorrow, a week from now, or a year from now. It's speculation based off a pretty exciting source. But I mean, we've heard about Who's Next and Nevermind for a long time, and Who's Next is likely never coming (unless they release half of it as covers - damn you people who stole the masters!), and apparently there's a problem with the song Polly from Nevermind. (having been released under a different label or something on the same album)
I'd still take Baba O'Reily as a cover, although I imagine I'd be the only one truly happy with that.

Quite honestly whether they are covers or not means nothing to me for the most part. Three of my favorite DLC tracks are covers, Ten Speed of God's Blood and Burial, Working Man, and Limelight.

the last leak turned out pretty much true. over half the songs were released within 2 months. I would say this is pretty much true. We have 4 NIN songs already. Reznor even plays rock band himself. More NIN is not far fetched. Avenged was in GH2 as well, so I'm sure they already have a channel open and obviously nirvana too.

I've listened to Burn a couple times today. While I absolutely love that song, I'm not sure how good of a Rock Band track it will make. Nearly the entire first half is only drums, vocals, and a bass/synth line. Even when it does finally kick in, the guitar is pretty basic and repetitive. I think the drums would be fun, but the other instruments...not so much.
On a related note, I'm still holding out hope that we'll see Wish someday. Getting Smaller would also make for a killer RB track.

I think that's true of NIN DLC so far. It just doesn't seem like a good fit for the game.

Well most NIN really, it's all heavily snyth based. I think some of the stuff off the slip is better suited than the older stuff, though.

I have to confess that I don't know much about the Pixies except for Wave of Mutilation, which I don't care for. I'm definitely out on the whole album. I may get a few of the individual tracks depending on how the previews sound.

Wave of Mutilation as a standalone song isn't exactly the best indication.

I picked up a greatest hits album a little while back and was surprised by how much I didn't like. But "Doolittle" is close to perfection.

June 17th DLC post is up http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55992Critical Acclaim is my #1 pick this week. It's just so friggin awesome. I'm not sure how much it'll lose being censored, but I think I can live with it. The only song I'm not all that wild about is Crooked X.

critical acclaim is great if nothing for the lyric themselves. basically telling all the free loading countries to fuck off. i'm sure the song will sound like crap because of the heaving censoring. ffs god damn can't even be played.
