It was announced today that Obsidian will be working on Neverwinter Nights 2 for PC (release date of 2006) as well as putting the finishing touches on KOTOR2 for Xbox/PC at the end of this year.  Pretty good for a bunch of people from Black Isle and Blizzard.

BioWare must have something massive after Jade Empire in the pipe.

Considering who the people are under Obsidian, it's not too surprising, and is also why they're getting these big titles under their wings. By all accounts, they're looking to establish themselves as a major player in the RPG scene, and were they to succeed on delivering with KOTOR2 and NWN2, they'll garner a boatload of fans(aka guaranteed sales) on their side. You can bet on them starting to develop their own brands soon after.

As for Bioware having something massive after Jade Empire, I'm guessing that'd be the already mentioned title 'Dragon Age'. From what I've read, they're trying to do some pretty impressive things with that game.

Two companies who have outstanding people working on making great RPGs? What's not to love?
