Oblivion being released early?

I normally wouldn't do this, but I'd pay extra to buy Oblivion a week early.  It's being released right in time for my 24-hour, 7-day oncall period.

I'd say the odds are pretty good that people will have it before the 20th. Just look at Ghost Recon. The "official " date for Europe is this Friday, but it was out last week over there in many stores.

I asked Bethesda on this and was told flatly that there will be nothing shipping before the 20th.  Piracy is a while different animal...

Actually, yes.  IF you posted it on, say, a forum dedicated to DS or PSP fans.  Or any forum that had a history of hating the ngage.

Yes, and LE has been doing it for years. He was banned from GG and OO. As I told him in another thread, I feel sorry for him, cause he must be a very bitter man the way he trashes nearly everything.

hmm, if they don't ship until the 20th, that means that a lot of people won't get it until the 22nd at the earliest then. I don't think every store gets drop shipments, so it would be:
20th ship overnight to EB warehouse (for example).
Receive on 21st, hope the workers aren't having a bad day
Ship from warehouse overnight arrive on the 22nd.

Does that sound right?

This game should be in stores on the 21st. It should ship to the EB warehouse before the 20th, it just can't ship from the warehouse until the 20th. Or else, yeah I don't see how in the world they would have it on shelves for the 21st.....but they may drop ship, cause they do that with most big games.
