Start buttering up the loan officer at your local bank. This is NUTS! PCHalf Life 2 Pirates! World of Warcraft Everquest 2 Vampire: Bloodlines Medal of Honor Pacific Assault PS2GTA San Andreas (actually in 4 days!) The Incredibles Ratchet & Clank III Jak III Metal Gear Solid III Killzone xboxHalo 2 Call of Duty Finest Hour Need for Speed Underground 2 Ghost Recon 2 Prince of Persia - Warrior Within GamecubeGoldeneye - Rogue Agent Metroid Prime 2 Viewtiful Joe 2  got bank?Obviously, some titles are multi-platform, but you get the idea. This is gonna be a tough month on the gamer's wallet, and one of the greatest months I've ever seen in my 15+ years of gaming. Let there be game! So, who's getting what? me: Half Life 2, Halo 2, San Andreas, and several others will have to be 'wait n see'.

Don't forget
GBA
Final Fantasy 1 & 2
I don't know if everyone keeps thier budget different than I do but it doesn't just run month to month perfectly. So I count the end of October - Bard's Tale, GTA: San Andreas as well as the begining of December - Knights of the Old Republic 2: Sith Lords,.

I'm trading in games to get Halo 2 for as little as possible, then I'll outright buy Half-Life 2. Otherwise, it's the Christmas list for me.

Big day indeed.
As soon as the stores open I will be picking up: Half-Life 2 Goldeneye World of Warcraft (my favorite of all the new games)
I'm going to wait for the PC versions of Halo 2 and GTA San Andreas next year.

I am in that catagory of people who can't buy everything they want that close to Christmas.
So it will be either HL2, or Vampires: Bloodlines, and Final Fantasy 1 & 2 for me.
Then I hope their is a Santa Claus!

Just did some quick math, if one were to buy everything I listed above, assuming they were each $50, that would be $1000 in new games! even if some were $30, you'd still be looking at $900.

And that's not including monthly fees accrued for WoW and EQ2. That's just nuts.

And if you want to spend even more money then the Nintendo DS and its launch games are also coming out in Nov.

Thankfully, a lot on that list don't really appeal to me.
Preordered: MoH:PA Halo 2
Will buy: Half-Life 2 Call of Duty Finest Hour
Might buy: Prince of Persia - Warrior Within Goldeneye Metroid Prime 2 Pirates Killzone
Everything else gets a pass.

I only have a PS2 and PC, so:
PC
Half Life 2 - Preordered on Steam (fuck you Vivendi) Pirates! - Waiting on reviews (yea, it's a Sid game, but...) World of Warcraft - Day 1 Everquest 2 - Don't care Vampire: Bloodlines - Probably day 1, unless early reviews suck (haha, vampire humor) Medal of Honor Pacific Assault - Don't care
PS2
GTA San Andreas - Day 1 The Incredibles - Don't care Ratchet & Clank III - Will buy on sale Jak III - Will buy on sale Metal Gear Solid III - Will buy on sale Killzone - Don't care

from that list, the games i will definitely purchase include:
half-life 2 vampire: bloodlines world of warcraft pirates!
so it looks like i'll be able to get away with spending just over $200. not bad.

Maybe its the old fogie in me, but am I the only one that knows Pirates! is one of the greatest games of all time? Hardly. I still play it on my Commodore, usually a few times a month. Thankfully I have the money set aside so most of the games I want are day one purchases, Pirates! included. So, when does the Silver Train arrive in Panama in 1640? s

Waiting for Christmas for reviews, patches, mods, and the like. Halo 2 is my first priority, though, and Half-Life 2 I get through the ATI voucher, so I'll have plenty to do until then.
Not to mention my backlog! WH40K, Rome:TW, Sims 2, Beyond Good and Evil, TOEE, MetaBall for UT2004 (great time waster), and the increasingly frequent in-dorm games of Dungeon Siege and system-linked Halo.

There's also the Lord of The Rings games - Battle for Middle Earth and The Third Age, Zelda : The Minish Cap and Kingdom Hearts (December) for GBA, Mario Power Tennis, as well as the RPGs Baten Kaitos and Growlanser Generations. There would have been more, but Suikoden 4, Digital Devil Saga, and Wild ARMs Alter Code F were delayed until next year.

I'm still trying to devote time to all the good October games I picked up. But for November, my must buy list (pending horrible reviews) is:
Vampire Bloodlines (preordered) WoW (preordered) EQ2 (preordered) Halo 2 (preordered) Pirates! (if the reviews are good)
On my holiday wish list (games I can wait until December to buy/get): PoP:WW (xbox) HL2
Now I just need to spend more time with Rome:TW, Warhammer DoW, Sims2, Xmen Legends and Crusaders:KUF before November! This has been a great 2-3 months for gaming.

Maybe its the old fogie in me, but am I the only one that knows Pirates! is one of the greatest games of all time? As I see it, if I want to play Pirates!, I'll go play Pirates!. I'm just... worried about this remake. Civ3 was not up to Civilization standards, and other modern takes on "Pirates" have been pretty lame (I'm looking at you and your Sea Dogs, Bethesda...) I always saw Pirates! as a simple-but-deep pick-up-and-play game... I don't know if a graphical overhaul and all these new bells and whistles are going to preserve the simple pleasure I found in the first game.

Of that list, mine consists of:
PC
Half Life 2 (Already paid for on Steam. Echo the fuck vivendi statement)
xbox
Halo 2 (Already full paid for) Need for Speed Underground 2 (waiting.) Ghost Recon 2 (waiting.)
Not quite the same rush for little old me.

Just a head's up. For those getting San Andreas and/or Halo 2: you can get bonus cash for trade-ins right now at EB. I traded 3 games and $40 credit towards Halo 2. I only owe like $5 on it now.
San Andreas has a limit of 1 bonus trade-in, but Halo 2 you can pay it off with bonus cash.
Bonus cash is when they give you their normal trade-in value, plus bonus money towards certain games.

I'm glad all those titles don't interest me.
The only thing I'll be picking up is Half Life 2, and that'll be my first PC game purchase since I picked up the Zero Hour expansion for Command & Conquer Generals early this year.

If all of those games actually do come out in or near November (and I believe that they will), then, in my opinion, November is definitely the best gaming month in history. I am extremely excited, to say the least.

World of Warcraft is preordered.
Funny thing is, I can't bring myself to play anything else right now as I wait. I'd rather be browsing the WoW forums or reading whatever I can on it. No game holds my interest right now.
I also have Halo 2 preordered.
For some reason Half Life 2 doesn't have me too excited, probably because of my WoW facination.
