The great thing about Alan Wake is that people responded really well to Alan Wake. We want to nurture that. It's not a 2007 title, which is why we're not showing it here. And we don't need to show it behind closed doors now. Enough said there.

I was wondering what happened to it. Dropped off the radar there for a while.

I'm not surprised.  Alan Wake seems like a game with content amount to rival the big console RPGs like Final Fantasy.  Content like that takes a long time to produce, then there's all the special gameplay coding they need to do for each specific nightmare encounter that Alan faces, such as the tornado they show.  Plus the world is big and explorable, so they they to playtest and populate the world with things for the player to discover.

that's good to hear.  Hopefully that means it won't be as short as Max Payne was.

they don't explode, they implode.  if only someone could figure out a way to harness the minature black hole's energy that results from the implosion....

The 360 wants soooo much to be a real PC that after months of trying it discovers it can never be and commits red ring suicide.

Daehawk, I'm not sure how powerful your PC is, but when a 90nm triple core chip floats on its contacts due to heat, I doubt it's because it's failing at doing it's job... It's not the horses fault if the rider can't stay in the saddle. slywink

I just wish they'd repair/replace all the bad parts in their pile of "dead" 360s, fix em right and offer a free swap program with all-new boards and proper cooling. Then recycle the ones they get in, etc, etc.

I'd like to see them do this before the blockbuster season... b'cuz my PC ain't up to snuff. frown
