I'm actually kind of excited about it as well now. I really think I will just get a Wii now to go along with my 360, instead of a PS3.

Too bad I can't watch this live thanks to me being at work (with a crappy 'net connection to boot). Definitely a download later.

So be sure to tell me all the juicy details. And yes, I'll be watching Gaming Trend's coverage as well. biggrin

Showing video footage of Mario and Metroid, and possiblities for how they can be used with the new controller. There was a couple of Mario moments that showed some interesting possibilities.

Zelda looks good. Metroid looked just like the Cube version. Red Steel looked pretty fun.

So far, I don't know. Looks interesting....but I don't know.

Yeah. I'm still afraid the controller's not going to live up to its potential, especially after finding the DS touchscreen to be uncomfortable enough to be useless.

At least they're making light about how stupid the console's name really is. smile

Just announced Zelda will launch with the Wii. Now they're going to show a demonstration of Zelda using the new controller. Hmm... No mention of GameCube support.

Tell me how these games look, people. biggrin

And Zelda at launch makes me very happy. Even though that yes, it was delayed forever on the Gamecube.

And what's this about a speaker in the WiiMote?

Zelda looks good. Talking about how you draw your bow with the controller and you'll hear the bow string go taut on the Wiimote controller's speaker.

But honestly, who's gonna buy the Cube version over the Wii one?

And we're blowing the server - just got an error message that vanished upon next reload on the Nintendo Press Conference page. biggrin

You know. Jack Thompson (is that the anti-game crusader's name?) is going to have a field day with the controller. Imagine a sword fighting simulator where you use the controller to make stabbing motions. People are going to wig out.

I am sold on the Wii!  Well... more sold anyway.  Zelda with that controller makes me very very happy.  Not to mention Red Steel and MP3!  PLUS New Mario!!  A strange looking Mario... but hey!  No water pack!

The more I see of the Wii....the more I like it.

If it is under $200 I'll get it.

You know, I'm still not convinced on the controller. It looks like you'll have to do a lot of extravagated movements. I haven't seen one demonstration of playing the game in a bit more relaxed atmosphere... I honestly don't want to be waving all around like that.
