No problem.  

I'm always excited this time of year when E3 comes around.  While heading home I stopped for gas.  Went to pick up the state paper and saw the headline for the DS on the USA Today.  One of the few times I've bought that paper.

It is...alright I guess.  I still wonder what kind of games will actually take good advantage of the dual screens.   For the life of me I can't think of a good reason to have them....

Personally, I think it could be a great addition to any kind of tactical strategy game. Actual game-screen on top, mini-map and all your info on the bottom... I'm sure there's lots of great ways to use it.

I thought there was a thread back on GG a long time ago where people ended up listing some really cool and pretty creative possiblities for ways it could be used.

Well here is one description of its uses.

Nintendo announced today that they will release a new Metroid game on Nintendo's new handheld, Nintendo DS. The game shown looked very sharp and almost looked as good as a GameCube version of the game.

The top screen will show a map of all of the character's moves, while the bottom screen shows the in-game action. Even more impressive is that the player can touch the touch sensitive screen and point to where he wants Samus to shoot.

Not much more was revealed about the game, but it will be playable on the show floor this week at the E3 conference. We'll have more during the week.

Sounds cheesy to me.  I don't see the stylus as a real good tool for aiming.

The point and shoot thing sounds terrible.  I could definitely see more then a few good uses for it though.  

I really wonder how it's going to affect the flow of GBA games.

For the first time since i bought an LCD Burgertime game 20+ years ago (still have it and it still works), I may be interested in a handheld gaming console.

Time will only tell though...
