Ladies and Gentlemen, start your speculation!

For Nintendo, the big new seems that we're going to see a whole new key franchise, on the same popularity level of pokemon. Ign editors are currently teasing their board members with very generic clues of an Asteroids arcade cabinet and a picture of an Asteroid impacting Earth. Probably doesn't mean anything, but adds fuel to the fire. One of the editor's, MJ, who is a big Xbox Fangirl, she used to write the xbox fan article on IGN, is even excited...


As for Sega, there are several rumors going about but the big one looks like Sega is going exclusive next gen with one of the big three. I haven't seen much more thrown on this one, but who knows...

In all honesty, I think it would take a near act of God to get Nintendo to fully think up something entirely and utter original AND have it be a new system seller. Then again all of their 1st/2nd party titles are instant money-makers...

As far as the Sega thing goes, well, we have their game lineup now listed on our site, and I don't see anything fancy there as far as games go...

So, is Sega joining with one of the big three? Why limit their profits? Are they going to attempt the console hardware route again? I highly doubt it. So what does that leave us with? Sega Sanshiro. He will save Sega! smile

It's going to be Microsoft. MS talked about buying them for years. Sega makes sports games we like and that actually USE XBox live. Microsoft stops their sports line for a year. MS publishes some smaller SEGA games that might not otherwise have EVER gotten out:
Jet Set Radio Future, Shenmue II, etc.

Personally, I can't see how anyone would argue the combination wouldn't be in the best interest of both companies.
