The way they are talking around this is so funny:

From major nelson:
Quote
Xbox One and Used Games

We know there is some confusion around used games on Xbox One and wanted to provide a bit of clarification on exactly what weíve confirmed today. While there have been many potential scenarios discussed, today we have only confirmed that we designed Xbox One to enable our customers to trade in and resell games at retail.

Beyond that, we have not confirmed any specific scenarios.

Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friendís house Ė should you choose to play your game at your friendís house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile.

So, let's read between the lines:

"At retail" - sounds like very specific retailers. And not sell on Ebay or etc.

"while you are signed into your profile" - so this basically confirms if you lend the game to your friend and he wants to play it with his profile, he has to pay.

I thought that was already confirmed, but I guess that answers my question of whether or not you could sign in on your friends XBone to play the game without a fee.

But what if you want to bring a game disc to a friend's house and play there? You'll have to pay a feeóand not just some sort of activation fee, but the actual price of that gameóin order to use a game's code on a friend's account. Think of it like a new game, Harrison says.

"The bits that are on that disc, you can give it to your friend and they can install it on an Xbox One," he said. "They would then have to purchase the right to play that game through Xbox Live."

"They would be paying the same price we paid, or less?" we asked.

"Letís assume itís a new game, so the answer is yes, it will be the same price," Harrison said.

The fee is FULL RETAIL PRICE.  frown

Goodbye Gamefly!

Yep, I read that and burst out laughing.

Imagine on the Xbox One, since the Kinect is required to be connected at all times, if someone yells out over a mic while you are playing call of duty, "XBOX, SHUT DOWN".

Oh the hilarity that will ensue over Xbox Live over this whole Kinect requirement thing....

not quite sure they can do that, they can make it work better and learn your dialect , but for the software to recognize your voice and block others, doubtful.

I have spent many days saying How now Brown cow into voice modules, voice rec is always tricky.  I can see "voice griefing being a problem"

Sounds like I may just go back to pc only next gen. While nothing about the ps4 seems bad in any new way, it does sadly still require me to use a playstation controller. The xbone just sounds hideous, especially given  about 90% of the Xbox 360 games I played were borrowed from a buddy.

Oh we'll, I had way more fun with the GameCube then I did with all 3 of the current gen systems.

Dude, 360 does the same with *all* DLC. The original console installed with the license allows you to play under any id. If it is not the original license install, your account has to be signed in to access it.

Eg:  I got a slim, and took the console and RB out to the lake (wet and rainy forecast). I had already downloaded some new songs, and copied the data over. Well, the only data that worked (since I was offline) were the newest songs.

This is an example from 2 years ago. If you weren't aware, now you are. Delete your ps3 profile and watch all your psn contentstop working.
