Available here on the News Page.

As I noted in my news post, the way this thing builds is just awesome. This is going to be a monster hit. thumbsup

Omg not only does that trailer rock, but if im not mistaken that map looks a heck of a lot like 2fort.  And man they did a bang up job with that.

That's gotta be 2fort, and the game is looking absolutely amazing.

I love the little things, like how quickly the Scout's legs move (makes me giggle), or the fact that Valve showcased the rocket jump in the trailer and the ensuing air ballet. Not sure how much things have changed, though an invisible Spy is definitely different than before.

That game looks full of style.  I give major props to Valve for not just phoning this one in (especially since it is to be released with Episode 2).

Exactly. I love how the rocket jump is now apparently part of the Soldier's forte. That rules. Yes it does. nod

It also looks like shots do alot more damage this time around.  I don't remember people dying so easily in the original.  Betcha alot of the 'l337' rocket jumpers are going to be pissed that it's now a normal part of play  icon_twisted

One thing I loved was how the demoman twirled the cluster bomb grenade, which was basically a pack pf dynamite.

The only thing I didn't like is that it looked like the bullets coming out of the heavy gunner's weapon were going all over the place.  I can understand some spreading and innacurracy, but that looked nearly impossible to aim skillfully.

Uhm, I think you may have missed the point of the Heavy. Were he to aim that thing, he'd have to go prone, as it's a freakin' Vulcan! No, my friend, that is not a precise tool of destruction, it is a spray and pray.

Did you see how many people he killed with it? Also, when the scout is running you see it in use there as well.

I love the new looks of the game, but other than the scout's bat and the spy's cloaking ability what is really new or different from TF1?  Looks to play almost identical with a new set of paint (and a few spiffy physics).   Then again, TF1 was almost a perfect game so I guess they don't really need to mess with it too much...

Really? I fail to see how much more different Valve could have made it while still being able to call it Team Fortress 2.

Looks great but I fail to see why we've been forced to wait so long...and still waiting. Hope its free.

I think it comes bundled with the purchase of Episode II. Along with Portal.

Which was just delayed until next February (at the earliest).

Yeah, you guys are a few days behind on this. That trailer was up on youtube several days ago. Had I really checked the PC boards with more than a cursory glance the last few days I probably would've posted it myself smile

The video is indeed awesome. It just makes me sad that we won't see it until February.

The funny thing is, no one has forced you to wait at all.  There's plenty of other games out there to play.  Valve has shown before that they really do use delays to tighten up the gameplay and fix bugs, so I'd rather have episode 2 later with no bugs, than now with the game unplayable due to bugs.  The same goes for TF2.  I'd rather have TF2 with this new art than the generic modern shooter that it was before.

There'll be a free version, but you're PC won't be up to spec to run it.  Think 'Call of Juarez' demo....  Tongue

Love the character design and sense of humor in the demo.  Yet another reason for me to get off my ass and get HL2, I reckon.

While you certainly should pick up HL2, you don't need it for any of the stand-alone expansion/episodes.

HL2 and all of its expansions/spawn are the reason I'll be upgrading.
