Maybe I have a personal bias, but this will be the single greatest table ever released in digital format: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32432.html

Between this and the Wii pinball game (and another one of those on the way in a couple of weeks), I've got pinball fever!

Totally IN! Then again, I'd buy most any table for Pinball FX.

I do like that this one feels slightly less generic than the others.

By the way, mo, it's a Rocky and Bullwinkle table.  Thus my enthusiasm.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they release a Hrothgar table.

It does indeed. I thought the tables that came with the game were decent,
but it felt like a (albeit great) tech demo. I loved the feel of the gameplay,
but I want a table I'm happy to spend hours on. The Xtreme table was far
too claustrophobic for my tastes, for example. I'd play it for a while, but
not something I'm going to while away the day on.

I'd rather have one or two great tables than 8-10 mediocre ones in a collection,
and it always boggles my mind when someone comments that there weren't
enough tables in a pinball game. Oh the hours I spent on Big Race USA and
Timeshock (as examples). Pinball FX is the closest I've seen to that series in
a long time in a commercial release.

Is this like the "real" R&B pinball machine or a made up one?

I think it's made up.  At least I don't remember seeing it before.  There are also some touches that wouldn't last in a real table.  When you launch the ball, for example, Snidely Whiplash lifts Nell off of the train track-style ramp just before the ball hits her.

BTW, the table is now available!  I thought it was "coming soon."  I was surprised to see it.

I only played it a few times, but it's actually pretty entertaining.

Cool, thanks.

Almost got the R&B machine a few years ago. I'll probably be IN! for this version.

I looked at some pictures of the arcade table, and it does not seem to be the same.

yeah i was playing on it last night, good table..but for some reason the ball this time seems to really like going straight down the middle of the table, totally missing my flippers and making me lose a life....more so it feels than the other tables, perhaps i am just shit outta luck!!!

Just got a chance to download and play this.
My initial impression is that it is fantastic.
I would have gladly paid 800 points for this and it was only 200.
(especially if it would help support more high quality releases).

The sound bytes are great and cover the extended R&B family
(Aesop, fractured fairytales, Dudley, etc.) What you end up with is
a hilarious mashup that often sounds like soemthing you'd see playing
between toons on Boomerang (actually reminds me of the El Kabong one).

The table feels really nice. It's open, without being too sparse.
I don't recall ever seeing a curved target bank quite like the boxtop set,
which makes for a nice challenge. It looks like there are some challenging shots
without being overly hard or cheap. Multiball is exceedingly frantic.

Oh that reminds me! I play from the view where the camera doesn't move with the ball.
When you go into mulitball, the camera moves up slightly to give a better view of the upper
part of the table. It was slightly disorienting the first time because I didn't expect it,
but what a nice little idea.

If there are any pinball fans who haven't picked up Pinball FX yet, you really should.
The ability to play this table alone is worth the admission price.

Very impressed.

Do you need to have the original game 800 pt game to play or can you just buy this table?

There are 2 others for download? I had no idea.

The other two tables are better than the ones that came with the game, but I'm starting to think R&B is the best table by far.

Unfortunately, the pirate table lacks a fixed camera option, so I won't be playing it.

The haunted mansion table seems decent enough, but rather hard.
I'm not a big fan of tables where you've got an upper flipper positioned like that,
coming off a pass across the top from the opposite side. Inevitably there's an important ramp
opposite that flipper that's hard to hit because of the speed of the ball, and especially on the
computer, I find it can be really hard to judge that shot, so when I do make it, it feels lucky
more than I made a great shot. The table is rather fast, imo. I might prefer the R&B, but
this is certainly fun too, especially if you want a challenge, and easily worth the 200 points.

I can't figure out how to play pinball.  I never really know where to hit the ball to actually earn points.  I generally try to aim where lights are lit, but sometimes they'll tell you to hit something specific to do something else, and I can't tell where my target is.  I know there are things written on the board, but I can't actually make out what they say.  I wish there was a free cam mode so I could zoom in and pan around to figure out what things are.

I have no earthly idea how there's scores north of a billion points on the leaderboards.  If I can get above 20million, I'm pretty amazed.

Most of the time hitting ramps and getting multi ball alot will really rack up the points also dropping flashing targets helps.
