Looks like its on its way to making the goal. I'll probably throw some money at this one. Really enjoyed Dreamfall but never could quite get that far in Longest Journey before getting bored.

Yeah, the games were both a little on the slow side, but overall still great. Happy to support the continued survival of the adventure genre as I have a few other kickstarters.

As is the norm,i guess this is not for Consoles, which is a shame because i quite enjoyed Dreamfall:The Longest Journey on the Xbox

which i am sure i dl the GoD version on 360,why can't your download history not be in Alphabetical order?,nightmare looking for this

EDIT: Damn, found it about 300 - 400 down the list but it wont let me re-download it....tw@s

EDIT 2:

Quote
@metallicorphan Sadly that game is no longer hosted on the GonD service so if you don't have it downloaded already, it's not available.^KC

Quote
@XboxSupport bah, even though i already paid for it a few years back,i thought i would always have that option to be able to dl it again?

Quote
@metallicorphan Download history pulls files from the Marketplace, if it's no longer on the marketplace, there's no where to pull from.^KC

Quote
@XboxSupport could the people who buy these not be warned some way that it's being taken down,i had no idea

Quote
@metallicorphan Understand your frustration, not sure why things are pulled. Contract could have run out/licensing not renewed etc.^KC

Quote
@XboxSupport Okay, thanks for your help anyway

So i have learnt a valuable lesson today, when changing HDDs,don't wipe all non essential stuff off thinking you can re-download it later just so the transfer can go quicker

There's 1200 points down the drain

and a one and a two and a three....COCKS!!  icon_cry

ARISE!!!!

Dreamfall Chapters comes out October 21.

I loved, loved, loved the video in that article.  This might be the game that finally pulls me away from my year-long FFXIV obsession.

The game looks incredible. It might be the game that makes me skip The Evil Within  icon_lol

I'm with Gratch in the anticipation department, but unfortunately Dreamfall Chapters will be subject to the same rule I use for playing The Walking Dead and other episodic games: I can't play it until the whole package is released.

Sorry, Red Thread Games, but I just can't get into playing a small fraction of your game once every 4 - 6 months.  icon_frown

My willpower finally crumbled, and I grabbed Dreamfall Chapters yesterday.  I needed a short game I could fit into the couple days before Dragon Age hits, and this fit the bill perfectly.

Just finished, took me a little over 4 hours.  I'd give it an A+ for story, music, overall atmosphere, and voice work.  The dual world it creates is fantastic, the characters are very well developed, the writing is excellent, and there's plenty of intrigue in the way they set up the next chapter (although the ending bit with the baby was really odd).

Unfortunately, it gets a D on the graphics and technical side.  All sorts of graphic bugs, ranging from the "annoying, but liveable" to the "damn near makes it unplayable".  Most of the issues seem to be with the lighting effects, which are an absolute disaster.  Random lens flares, lights that stretch into thin lines across the screen, shadows that don't match the source at all, etc.  I also experienced random frame-rate drops into the single digits, no matter what setting I used for the graphics.  In addition to the bugs, the animation is incredibly clunky, there's not even an attempt at lip syncing (which is incredibly distracting in a narrative-driven game), there are low res and blocky textures, etc. etc.  Graphics-wise, it feels like barely a minor upgrade from the original Dreamfall, and that game came out over 8 years ago.

As much as I enjoyed the story, I'd be very hard-pressed to recommend taking the plunge on this first chapter as-is.  Hopefully they can get a few of the technical bugs ironed out before the next chapter comes out...that would go a long way towards making it more enjoyable.
