The world is indeed full of peril and in it there are many dark places.  In to this world goes our tortured soul Talion, a weapon forged from death and vengeance.

This week sees the release of one of the surprise hits of the year.  We also see the next iteration of an XBox racing series and another in the long line of Sherlock Holmes games.  We also get the newest menace to portable hardware, Smash Bros.  This also seems the unoffical start of the gaming onslaught season.  So, what are you buying this week?

I caved and got Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (PS4), though I suspect I'll be quite busy with Wasteland 2 for a while. 22 hours and counting...

Shadow of Mordor (PS4)
My plan is to seek out the goofiest orc I can find, and orchestrate his rise to dominance and power.  Grabnok "The Stinky" Boogersnot maybe the next supreme warlord of the Orcs of Mordor.

I've heard good things about Pier Solar (the non-HD one) - actual Genesis cart and everything when it first came out (and obviously, yes, it played on a real Sega Genesis). Curious how the HD remake changed things around.

Day One - Pier Solar for PS4 (The PS3, PS4, and Steam versions are out this week, but I think the 360/XBO and WiiU versions are still awaiting certification.)
Someday - Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Crimes and Punishments: Sherlock Holmes, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Forza Horizon 2

Shadows of Mordor (PS4)

I'm still on the fence about Forza Horizons 2 due to money, but I'll probably wind up picking that up too.

Smash Mordor Horizon

That's my list, too, but I'm still liking Destiny too much to do more than add those to my "wait for a sale" backlog.  There's a damn good chance I'll cave on getting Mordor depending on how much the forum effect gets me.

Shadow of Mordor PS4 and Horizon 2.

I'll keep an eye on the Holmes game as it's another in the Frogwares series that I own everything else in.
