Godzilla:DAMM was an awesome 4 player game! If they figure out a way to make the single player portion enjoyable, then I'll probably be picking it up.

Exactly my thoughts. It seems that unlocking things has become more of an "earn points to use in the shop" affair. That's a step in the right direction, but I'm not sure that it's better, necessarily.

I'm looking forward to this one. It sounds like they're trying to make the fighting a bit deeper and more diverse for the different types of monsters. Plus, I can stomp around ONLINE! Oh, and we've also got a general Godzilla thread running in Off-Topic.

I am thinking of pre-ordering this one because I talked with the guy at EB this weekend and he told me that I might want to pre-order because you never know how supplies will last during the holidays. I’m a novice with Godzilla games, but the multiplayer is a big draw with my intentions of getting Xbox Live soon.
Thanx EngineNo9, I’ll got check out that thread too.

Elijah, if it is like most Live enabled games, it will likely give you two months free so you can try it out. You'd still need to buy the headset if you want to communicate but at least you can see how good the online smashing is before you drop cash on a subscription. Not that it isn't totally worthwhile! Even the first Godzilla game had a couple new arenas to download, and that was for an unproven game in the infancy of Live.

Actually, my bro has PS2 and he is also thinking of this one. (He's a Godzilla Fan). Is there any real differences?

I heard that they are going to start previewing all of the monsters on Gamespot next week which should really be cool. I can't wait to check them all out.

I scoped this one out a way back and promised I'd get it. That hasn't changed I'm still super excited about this. The online mode sounds awesome. Now who's getting this for PS2?

Man, am I the only one here who's going to be playing it on XBox Live? Oh, well. I guess it's less humiliating getting my butt handed to me by strangers.

Personally, I am eyeing down the Xbox version because of console advantages and I think I am going with XBox live to play this and Halo 2.
Ahh...and gotta go check out godzilla.com and see the massive update.

Well, you are in luck, another thread said that the PS2 one is coming tomorrow and the XBox sometime next week. You'll get the first taste.
On another note, I checked out the monster profiles on godzilla.com and I think space Godzilla looks likes my kind of guy. Who are your guys favorites?

Godzilla 90's. I like Mothra, too.
I just wish I could figure out how to type the Godzilla scream/roar thing!

I'll have to see how they play and feel like before I make any real decision, but off-hand I'd say: Godzilla 2000, Orga, Jet Jaguar, Destoroyah, Anguirus...heck, pretty much all of them! Oh, Zekester, Jet Jaguar actually has the power to grow and shrink, so that's probably why he looked so small where ever you saw him.

I saw that JJ grows and shrinks, has anyone found a pic or movie with this happening? I'd like to see him blown up...

Theres so many of them, I will have to go over and check them out. Its nice that they have released so much stuff ahead of time. Is it common for develoeprs to release videos based on fan recommendations? Cause I saw them do that and I thought it was pretty cool.

6.5 from over-generous IGN  Sounds like it hasn't changed much at all from the last game. That's not all bad, but I was hoping for a little more than that. I'll still wait to see a few more reviews and an XBox specific one (not that changes the gameplay at all, I guess).

Well, thats only one review. I checked out the new fan clip on the site and its pretty cool, its a monster melee... Jet Jaguar does this awesome cyclone move that picks up all the other players and whips them around.. looked awesome.
