it'll be interesting to see where they go with this.  It'll be cool if they put in more clothing drops, like a Hawaiian shirt for the heavy or a propeller beanie for the scout  icon_lol

I don't get it.  How does being stapled to a wall fit in with:
"We want him to give up some of his primary advantage in return for something else, so that enemies he kills feel like they were engaged with them, and feel like they could have survived if they'd just managed to fight a little better."

I can't fight better if I can't move.  Still, it sounds like the sniper can't stand back and shoot you with the bow across the map.  I also wonder how close to a wall you have to be to get stapled to it.  If I'm 50 feet away from a wall, do I fly 50 feet to get stuck to it?

I would guess that the bow and arrow does a certain amount of damage, and that you have to be much closer to use it than the sniper rifle.  I would also suppose that it only sticks you to the wall or something if the very last arrow kills you -- I doubt that every arrow is throwing you around.

But then it would be pointless to use.  My guess is that if you are close enough to a wall any arrow will stick you to it for a short duration.  The idea is to pin your target down so you can get an easy headshot.

I guess I assumed that the bow would replace the rifle as the primary weapon.  I figured the intent was to give the sniper a more direct support role in assaults.  With the bow, you run with the rest of your team, pinning enemies to the walls, making them easy pickings for the rest of your teammates instead of lone wolfing around, taking out enemies as the opportunity arises.  Of course, this is pure speculation on my part.

Mostly the comment that said you could use the bow to pin someone to the wall to get an easy headshot.  But I suppose someone else could get the headshot.

I'm still not following.  The update about the bow specifically mentioned that it could get headshot crits.  Pin them with one shot, haedshot them with the second.

I was reading it as "headshot (with the sniper rifle)", not necessarily "headshot (with the bow)".  I still see it as a close support weapon, as I can't imagine you'd get the range or zoom of the rifle, but would get the pinning ability, which is a valuable thing when you've got buddies with you.

"One headshot from the Huntsman can mean an instant crit."  I'm pretty sure they're talking about headshots with the bow.

I'm thinking that it may replace the normal cloak, meaning you would only be able to cloak for a limited time after getting shot and dropping the "dummy".

If you get a chance, pause the video when they zoom out on the soldier looking at the big board.  Among the things on there are "Leaked video", "Defenestrated", "Found Dracula", "Lost Dracula", and "Behind you!"
