I so wanted to like that one as a kid. Like you, something about the cover seemed cool. But I kinda hated it when playing.

Yeah, they're a blast to read, and often bring back memories. What's interesting about your reviews, is that it shows that a lot of those NES games were actually pretty bad, and that I suffer from massive nostalgia-coloured memories! It's a wonder I actually liked to be a gamer back then! (But, to be honest, I seem to have dodged a lot of bad games back then, and mostly had the classics).

Sad Bullwinkle is sad. This game did suck, though.

Great trip down console history lane. Wait, there was a review in there somewhere too?

A little off topic, but you may enjoy this Eel: http://abobosbigadventure.com/fullgame.phpIt's a hommage to the NES. Basically someone took all the best NES-games, and made a new game out of it. The ultimate NES-game, if you will. It's pretty good too. (Click on the NES-console when they prompt you to "click anywhere").

I got that game as a kid. Such a disappointment, it really was an awful game. And that same music over and over and over and...

Al Unser Jr's Turbo RacingAlso, a question: Should I up these to two a week? I have them written out until March, but I kind of like having the time to go back over them and refine them. I dunno. Thoughts?

I vote you avoid going to two a week. You'll run through your buffer pretty quick and I think for amateur publishing of any sort, you're better off being slow but consistent than faster but occasionally unreliable.

I agree, once a week is fine. I love reading about it, but right now it's dosed perfectly. Just a little bit of NES nostalgia every week, I love it!
