My wife decided to surprise me with a Wii and motion board last week. (Yes, she is that cool) So now I need some games for it. What are the best games for the Wii?

If you love lightgun shooters, the Wii has those in droves. I really recommend House of the Dead: Overkill out of the bunch - it is SO campy, and SO B-movie it's a riot to play.

And if you do, make sure you get a pistol grip for the Wiimote, makes a hell of a difference. Overkill is a great game as long as no-one in the house minds the language used in the game, f-bombs galore!

It depends on the types of games you like, but Mario Galaxy, Zelda Twilight Princess, and the Metroid Prime trilogy (coming next month) would all be excellent purchases.
Little King's Story may also be a good game to get if you like strategy/rpg type games.
If you plan to play anything with your wife all of the Lego games are quite fun and cheap.

Since you have the motion board, if you've ever enjoyed arcadish snowboarding games like SSX I highly recommend Shaun White Snowboarding.

Lots of great stuff already mentioned (SSBM, deBlob, etc.), but don't forget to check out Mario Galaxy, Zelda, and Metroid as well.

The two off the top of my head are:
Warioware: Smooth Moves Wii Sports Resort
Oh, and Super Paper Mario is awesome. As is Zelda.

Don't forget Resdent Evil 4!
If you are going to turn your Wii into a home gym -- EA Active.
