Crystalis on the NES (and GBA if you want to get technical).
Now that was a game ahead of its time.
Here's another classic:

Well, crap. It seems that RPGamer doesn't like me outsourcing images anymore. Jerks. I haven't seen Eldon in here yet, so let's pull him in with this CGI render, borrowed from IGN: As for me bringing up Eldon with this, well...don't ask.

Well, I'd say PaRappa the Rapper, but I know that's not it. So, let's see here... *light bulb explodes* It's a Parappa the Rapper lookalike - Gataroo-Man. That's a classic I never played. Seen some people play it really well (or something like it anyway) in the arcades. Impressive. Here, let's try another classic game (this time hosted on my personal server to make sure it works):

I'm thinking that might be a Dragon Warrior game of some sort, but I have the slightest idea as to which one it is.

The first Final Fantasy on NES? We have a winner! Final Fantasy 2 indeed, Dimmona... And you call yourself a gamer. My very first RPG (FF1). Now that was a classic game.

What THE?! Ohhh, I know what this is, its the boot up screen for a Commodore 64. The little colors flash in blocks across the screen then you get the prompt. Yay! I win. (or not)
