Colecovision's had those awesome controllers with the dial on it.  I bought one simply because at the time it was the only way to get 'Donkey Kong' on your television, but I don't think I played the thing at all once I got my Intellivision.  In fact, I'm not sure I even remember any of my other Coleco games besides DK... what was the best game that came out for that system?

I believe the ColecoVision had Turbo with the steering wheel.  That was the coolest game.  I think it also had Star Fury or something like that.  In the arcade it had an alien that said something like, "Prepare for your doom!"

You know, I always wondered at the link between Colecovision and Intellivision.  I had an Intellivision, yet, it played some Colecovision carts.  Were they totally compatible?

After digging further, I found that the name was Evo: Search for Eden. Man, my memory is good tonight. And what a great game.

Let's try something a bit different. And harder:

Anybody remember this eye-ruining classic?

Well, clearly that's the Virtual Boy, so after some research:  Teleroboxer.

Never heard of it.  Can you get Virtual Boys cheap now?

Virtual Boys were cheap when they vanished off of store shelves. Hell - I got the console for $20 and the games for $5 to $10 apiece at my local Blockbuster when Nintendo discontinued them. My stand for the console is busted, and I'm short one (maybe two) of the games to make a complete and total set of everything ever released, but it was a fun console.

Too bad it ruined the development of one's eyes for any kid 12 and younger. smile

Anyway, you're right with your game, so go post away.

Sorry, I went to bed completely forgetting to do this.  Okay, my eyes are still hurting from that last one, so lets have some modern love (though it terrifies me...and walks on by) with one of the most beautiful games in recent memory:

I wanted a shot showing off the amazing movement, but nothing really captured it that I could find.

thanks!

You are right.  I've been using the Img button and pasting in the URL for the pictures I find on the web

okay, guess i'm stupid ("ES-TEE-DOUBLE OH-PID" -say it fast if you don't get it!)...

i have a pic in My Pictures, also one saved to Mozilla, but still can't get a "paste" option here, even using Img. and NOT using Img.   the url i have would include the whole page and title, etc.

help!  i don't want to hold up the process - this is a great idea and a blast!

thanks....

I'll tell you the lazy way I do it, which is in no way graceful.  I type the game name and system (and even website if I know where I want to get the shot) into Google, then I click on the image page.  Click on the image, then click on it again in the frame at the top of the screen.  Voila!  Instant link.

*evil laugh*

My work here is done. biggrin

eBay might be a good place to start. They aren't cheap however, as they're kinda rare nowadays. And, no, you can't have mine. smile

Edit: Now that I think on it, I should finish my Atari Lynx collection as well. Two consoles, a whole ton of accessories, and every single game that was ever released in the US (in addition to a few homebrew titles) short of just a few... eBay, here I come!

hi, thanks, Bullwinkle,

but it didn't work, probably because i'm trying to take it off of a screenshot from a game store.  if anyone knows Damilla's email address - the offer was somewhere aroung page 3, or 4, i tried to mail but the email address wasn't available, so i did a PM... and i'm running out the door to a b-day party!

can i pass and just let the game go on?  maybe i'll get one right later, or can use a "play later" card?

gotta run, thanks!

hey, all,

well, i don't get that one!  the guy with the parted-down-the-middle hair, to the left of the engine/robot/helicopter-looking thing looks vaguely familiar, maybe i've seen the game somewhere, but i don't think i've ever played it.  no clue!

Dimmona very nicely set me up with a link i can use for my screenshot, but i'll challenge myself and see if i can get another one right (or wait til someone like me has to pass again...)

g'night!

hey, thanks EddieA,

i'll take you up on your generous offer since i may never get another one correct!  but then when will you go?  ahh, i've got it - mine will be a stumper and no one will get it and it'll be you're turn - problem solved (yeah, right!).  okay, il'll try again (man, i feel stupid, i tried it first by hitting the img button, then pasting the url - that didn't work, but i finally finally figured it out!  whew, this is work!- fun, but work!

thanks again to EddieA and Dimmona

Blue...blue... Blue something or another for the DC...

Got it - Blue Stinger for the Dreamcast. The mind still works. biggrin

One minute here for me to find a shot. What to post...

Okay then - one of the hardest games on the console hands down. Who remembers throwing their controller around because of it?:

Rocket Knight Adventures for the Sega Genesis (and a lousy shot at that).

What to dig up for my next game...

but i got my chance to post - you probably missed it because that darn Destructor got it so fast!

this is so much fun!  maybe it should be a "sticky" one, does anyone else agree?  or are there rules to what can be sticky and what can't?

thanks all,

Doh, I completly missed it mytocles.

Ok since Ogg's 23 hour grace period has expired, I'll go ahead and hijack the thread   biggrin

I'm a big collector of wrestling games; this was the first one I ever bought:

Edit: You'll notice I smudged out the logo on the center of the ring, as it was the name of the developer (and would have made it a little too easy).  I left its symbol at least...

Man, how I remember and love that 'A Winner is You' from Pro Wrestling.

To answer the question though, I'm really not sure which wrestling title this is. Maybe once I get home and dig through my collection of NES titles something might jump to mind...
