MonolithSoft (of Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos fame) is developing a strategy RPG using characters from the libraries of Namco and Capcom.  RPGamer has the details.  This sounds really cool (and odd slywink) - I hope it makes it to the US.

Ahh that does sound pretty nifty, albeit a little odd.

In the same vain, Square Enix released a game about a month ago in Japan that features both Final Fantasy characters and Dragon Quest characters.

Though it's a continuation of that "series" (it's like a board game with mini-games incorportated) I would have really liked to have it come to the U.S.

Resurrection!

Anyway, for any SRPG (or Namco and Capcom) fans, there's a Japan trailer for this baby up at http://www.gametrailers.com.  There's no doubt in my mind that I want this one...but it's coming out for PS2.

How hard would it be to put this on PSP?  It would drive sales (there are plenty of SRPG lovers as well as people who adore the characters for these two companies), give the PSP a much-needed SPRG (reason why I'm holding off for now) and I'm sure the PSP could power it.  It's an SRPG - it's not like those games are heralded for their graphics.  The second this gets announced for the PSP is the moment I go out and get a PSP.  As excited as I am about this one, God, put it on PSP.  Please.  Pleeease.
