Anachronoxxxxxxx!!!!! I still have my copy buried away somewhere in my storage. Yup, it'd sure be an awesome edition to GoG's lineup. Can never forget those cut scenes drifting in the spaceship - funniest scenes in a game eVAH!

In lieu of their Wednesday sale, they're doing a special sale on Thursday in honor of GamesCom.

Does MOO 1 & 2 still hold up? My concern with these good old games is that they won't have the same 'wow' factor they had back in the day.

That's always the risk.  Sometimes it doesn't matter, as the warm fuzzies wash away the ugly cumbersomeness.  Sometimes the graphics and UI make you run screaming for the delete button in your brain.

BTW, today we have Atlantis 3

Including Crusader: No Remorse! (actually, I guess it had been out a while on GoG, never mind!)
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/crusader_no_remorse

I might finally get something there. I have tried playing it on DOS Box and the like, but I'd like to be able to enjoy it with a little less fuss.

It's too bad they couldn't include some of the bonus documents that the game came with. I saved mine, couldn't part with them.  icon_cool

I'm hoping System Shock 2 (which I have, but I think had some issues getting it to install anymore) eventually goes GoG.

It looks like PC Gamer was partially right - Ultima 1-3 are available now, but there's no sign of Ultima 4.

free Ultima IV as one of their 8 EA classics?  I call shenanigans.

IIRC though the box seems to fit what was blurred out..... even though it's probably wishful thinking (and they'd be skipping a couple of games) the last three could be:

The Ultima IX box doesn't fit the blur. Look at the lighter color yellow to the upper left. There IS a box that has lighter yellow on the left, however:

That's a pretty little package... I'll get Lands of Lore, that was an awesome game. I can't bring myself to spend $5.99 on Populous, too many clones and too many years.

It feels like we're analyzing The Beatles' Abbey Road album cover... icon_smile

I keep hoping for Syndicate/Syndicate Wars or System Shock 2, but I assume they're not part of this batch. I'd like to be wrong, though.  Pleeeease....

Although I didn't play Populous, I remember playing something similar that wasn't by Bullfrog. The box is long gone though so all I have is a sketchy memory...

Yeah, I only saw the page once, when the first set of games were announced, but could not get back to it since then.

On the home page, where the recent games are highlighted, either scroll all the way to the right or click on the right-most white navigator box. "NEW BATCH OF EA CLASSICS!"

Dunno if I could play through 4 and 5 again. U6 I missed completely. I had an older PC at the time and the requirements for that were too high. By the time I got a new computer U7 was out and just went right to that and didn't look back.

U9 is the other one I'd probably try. Recall having the demo and it ran like crap so not getting the game - which ended up being a good idea since the release was almost unplayable. But I'd still buy it for cheap just to have it. smile

Woot!   I was half hoping for the Kilrathi Saga with the remastered music, but this will do.  I'm just encouraged that they're rolling out a lot of Wing Commander content... hopefully Secret Ops will make it there someday.
