XIII is up today.

That's a game I really liked at the time, but was far from perfect.

Cult classic Realms of The Haunting is now available for $5.99.  Even though it's been many years since I've played the game, as I look at the screenshots, some locations seem so familiar, it's like I just played the game yesterday.

DUDE! I have the CD sitting here and I've always wanted to replay it, but lacked the patience to install the 6 CDs or change CDs throughout the playing. This is perfect! Realms of the Haunting!

While I'm at it, are any of the Battle Isle games worth the $10 price? I've heard they don't hold up well by modern standards.

Check out some of the character descriptions - "interesting" doesn't begin to cover it slywink  It also features the character with the greatest name in the history of gaming - Sol Badguy.

There's another banner up now - "What game made you want to ride with the outlaws?"

They've said they'll be announcing a new publisher catalogue on Thursday, and most people are guessing LucasArts from the clues.

Well Outlaws would be outstanding. I will say the first game made me think of The Dig, for some reason.  Maybe it's just LucasArts coming to GOG?

I think LucasArts is the best guess.  The third banner, "What game made you fear your past?" has background colors that remind me...

Spoiler for Hiden:
...of this Darth Malak art from KOTOR.

I just thought of one problem with the big announcement being Lucasarts: a bunch of their games are already available through other services.

KotOR
The Dig
Indy and the Last Crusade
Indy an Atlantis
Loom
Monkey Island 1 & 2
Dark Forces 1 & 2
Jedi Outcast

plus a few others.  Kind of takes away the impact of 'look what we got' if they've already been available for awhile, DRM or not.

Not really - it still adds to GOG's already impressive catalogue of games which increases their value, regardless of it being available other places.

Maybe a couple of old Origin titles?

Ultima Underworld: reference to underworld
Wing Commander: reference to stars
Strike Commander / Privateer: reference to riding with outlaws
System Shock: reference to fear of the past

Vague guesses, but still...

Hell, these hints are so vague, it could be anything.  It's not like the past, criminas, stars and the underworld have only been used once in the history of videogames.

However, I do like the idea of Ultima Underworld connecting to underworld.

And if it's Origin, it could lead to Crusader: No Remorse (and Regret) coming!

If it's all Lucasarts, the underworld one could also be Afterlife, which would be pretty sweet too.

What game made you dream of the stars?
What game made you ride with the outlaws?
What game made you fear your past?
What game made you go to the underground?
What game made you feel like a hero?
What game made monsters afraid of you? The Witcher
What game made you afraid of dark?  Alone in the Dark

so, what Atari games fit the bill for the rest?
