Multiple accounts on Steam allowed?

I've searched for this on Steam Support site and haven't found an answer.

I would like to create a second personal account.  I know I would have to use a different e-mail address.

Anyone here have experience with doing this?

you can and it's somewhat easy to have two on the same pc.  Steam lets you change users from the main menu.  i would consider it flawless except for how it dealt with some games I had installed with the first account showing up on the second account.  I never tried to run any of those as I have far too many games to take any chances with the accounts. 

in my case, some of the games on my older account were visible with the newer one but were showing up as demos.  some were listed as full and a few weren't listed at all.

I don't want to take any chances with my account, either.  That's why I was considering the second account.

I looked for the answer for about 30 min and couldn't find anything.
