This is info from a Gamestop employee on another forum, I guess there will be a another large shipment of 360's on March 22nd....just in time for Oblivion! smile

Quote
They are taking guaranteed preorders now for the 3/22 shipment.

Also, 20% added to trade when being put towards 360 reserve and this time they will not be over reserved, we have an alotment that is very big in size.

Also, trade 2 three sixty games get one free!

Many many other offers so if you are at all interested go to your local gamestore before preorders are shut off!!

Thanks for the info, Hetz - the additional 20% is a pretty good deal.

Unless there's some region to region variation, that info is wrong.
Those systems are due on 4/1.

The 3/22 date is when all current preorders are supposed to have been filled.

I'd sooner be caught at a Pro-Bush rally before buying a 360 from Gamestop.
They're taking "pre-orders" for something that's been out going on nearly half a year?
My problem with Gamestop was them happily taking money from people for 360's when they didn't even have enough to go around in the first place.
All the while, while people are waiting on their "Pre-Orders" from Gamestop, stores like Target and Walmart were getting 360's on a weekly basis (and still are) - got my 360 at Target a while back and as such, don't think I'll ever order (let alone preorder) a console from Gamestop again, the way they handled the xbox 360 launch makes me wonder the horrors that will come with the PS3 launch.

Yeah, I think if you plopped down your money last summer and then had to wait a long time you have every right to be upset. OTOH, most of our customers were very patient and the ones that found systems elsewhere got their money back from us, so in essence they had a backup plan.

Up until early November, we were expecting to have most preorders filled at launch for our store. That obviously didn't happen.

I don't think there should be any hesitation to preorder at Gamestop provided you do so early in the process. Regardless, I have a feeling that the PS3 will be handled quite a bit differently in light of how this whole thing went down.

Firefox, of course, has to be someone from the store I work at.  I have an idea too, also. :p

No 360 for me until end of year, though, at best probably.

E3, A-Kon, Computer....that'll put me through summer at least.

Edit:  Okay, not someone from the store, but I know who it is anyway smile  Didn't see you on the site, and welcome.
