Is anyone still playing this? Because the second map pack is coming  icon_wink

I'm skipping this unless the second map pack takes place in the Wild Wild West  smirk

Is it officially out?

Seems like I'm the biggest MW2 fan around here, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna pick this up or not.  Lot of other games out right now.

Hooked up with Kato and Teggy last night.  Even with all the nonsense this game has, it's still pretty darn fun to play.

Hark, Teg, Kato and Calvin for a while.

Game was far more frustrating tonight as lots of commando use going on.

Rental is up tomorrow.  Was good to get back in, but I've had enough.

Game is still fun but like ATB said, very frustrating because of the commando perk.  I hope in the future that modern shooter devs realize that less is more.  The Call of Duty series already has a wide variety of firearms available, instant kill knife attacks are simply not needed and these games should focus more on shooting instead of stabbing.

Played a bit with Kato, Hark, and a final game with Teggy before dropping out for dinner and had a lot of fun.  It has been a long time since I last played MW2 (hell, since I last played anything), and while I died a lot without amassing many kills (I blame being rusty  ninja), it was still enjoyable to play a bit of shootyface with some of the gang.  Odds are if I dedicated as much practice time to MW2 as I do to pool I'd be back to a 2:1 or better kill:death ratio, but there just doesn't seem to be enough time in any one day.  Gaming has unfortunately taken a back seat to everything else (not just a back seat, but that third row of fold-down seats way in the back).

Still a good time, though.

I'm still playing occasionally, but only in Hardcore mode. Nobody is running around doing knife attacks in that. I'm hoping that Medal of Honor's MP mode will be more like that and less like Halo and MW2's Commando mode.

As long as Commando is gone from Black Ops I will be happy.

We used to have a Hardcore mode group. Less twitchy, but certainly more campy

played a couple of matches with Hark, Kato and Fumble last night and it was fun. Still hate commando - but like I said before I am not good enough to get my tits in a knot over it  Roll Eyes

I am really looking forward to the next title in November - I have a GC from Ebgames sitting by the front door ready for use!

I still play this semi-regularly on the 360, and still love it. After taking a long break from it and playing mostly BF:BC2 for my shooter action, my MW2 skills severely atrophied. While that was frustrating at first, it had one big benefit: by burning down my K:D ratio a fair bit, it got me to give up on pushing that any higher and just let myself enjoy experimenting with different kit setups. smile I've also started playing with sniper-based kits more, which can be a lot of fun at times. I really suck at playing a sniper in shooters, so it's hell on my K:D ratio, but the fun is in getting off a good snipe every so often!

Commando has never really bothered me much; the game is so over-the-top arcadey a lot of the time that it just doesn't feel too egregrious. Hell, I've even embraced it and run my own crazy stabby commando build sometimes.

Couldn't fall asleep tonight so I played for about 2 straight hours.

Silenced FAL with red dot = uber weapon!

Also playing with the TAR 21 for the first time.  Pretty good gun.

Apparently the PS3 MP portion is in shambles right now, and not just from people leaving to play BOPS:

Stats being deleted?  Ouch, that'd suck. They say that BOPS shouldn't have this issue though

I can vouch for it.
Ps3 mw2=hacktown
Some of the craziest stuff I've ever seen and heard stories that were worse.
Ac130 vision on foot, menu list of cheats visible on killcam, being put in "jail" under the map when you die, rank janking (friend got bumped from 30 to 70)...
Yet still preferable to the black ops lag fest on ps3.
