I'm on a lot during the afternoons, but I don't get many invites then, or anytime else. Harkonis, if you want me back on your friends list, I would be glad to play with ya.

BTW if I join a game and I sound like I am 9 that would be my son; he plays on my gamer tag.

 icon_lol

Yesterday while getting my GamingTrend league game of Madden in I received an invite from Drifter.  I sent a quick message explaining that I had to finish my game of Madden and then I'd jump over to MW2.  I received a message back, and when I listened to it I couldn't help but say out loud (the only beings in the room were my dogs), "How the hell old is Drifter?"   saywhat

This makes way more sense.   icon_lol

I'm willing to play with any of ya'll as long as your willing to mute me if i start cussing out the enemy instead of bitching at me about my cussing out the enemy Tongue

smile

Seem to have recovered my skill after 3 months off with no xbox to play, but boy do double shotties and witches piss me off bad.

For some reason your mic showed up as muted for me, but I wasn't able to turn it back on in game (got an error that said "unable to toggle mute") and I checked your profile and I didn't have you muted there, either.  Not sure what the problem is.  I don't think I ever muted you in the past as I swear as well.  Nowhere near as much, but I still do.   icon_wink

Last night I had to jump out pretty quickly to catch the beginning of the Top Chef finale.   ninja

The Jav glitch needs to be fixed, yesterday.

Any word on a patch?  It's been almost a month since release. Such a game breaking glitch should have already been fixed...

It's already fixed on the PC, and the 360 patch was submitted to MS sometime in the past week.

I also read they slowed down Lightweight to 107% speed instead of 110%, so that should hopefully make both the akimbo shotgun sprinters and Commando Pro witches 3% less annoying.

I've only got a couple of days left to play the game before I go on vacation. I'll be in Pittsburgh for 11 days starting this saturday, and then down in South Florida for another 5-6 days after that. Hopefully I'll be able to get out of work a little early today, and stay up a little late, to get some more good games in with you guys before I have to put it down for a couple of weeks.

You should pack the Xbox. You're going to come back from vacation and be suffering withdrawals.

My dad doesn't have any internet...  puke

Jaime and I go to Pittsburgh every year for the holidays and we'll be there from the 23rd until January 3rd.  If you're only in town for 11 days from this Saturday then we unfortunately won't be in town at the same time.  The days leading up to Christmas are always pretty hectic, so our schedule doesn't really open up until the 26th.  Otherwise I would have suggested a get-together at one of the many Primanti Bros. "sammich" shops for a Yuengling and a sweet sausage with egg.  Or Quaker Steak and Lube for a basket of "wings and springs".   drool

Ha. We leave the 22nd, so we'll just miss you guys. My gf's birthday is the 16th, so I'll be taking her to Deluca's for some ridiculous breakfast. See Exhibit A below:

Then I'll hopefully be taking her to Primanti Bros later in the evening for a late lunch/dinner. I'm also hoping to check out the casino while we are down there. I haven't been back in the city since it opened.

Maybe just enough to be able to shoot them in instances where they aren't running straight at you. Kudos to IW for doing that (if they really did). Everyone I've heard complain about such things in the game accepts the fact that IW does very little tweaking to the game mechanics unless it's something game-busting (javelin...).

Do either of you show a strict NAT on your MW2 connection screen?  That can cause voice chat problems like that.

Mine is completely open.  It used to be moderate, but Hark helped me to set it to open.  I actually had a mute bannination icon next to fuzz's name, so it wasn't just a chat issue but an actual muting issue I couldn't seem to figure out how to turn off.  Unless he has me muted.  But that wouldn't make any sense, since my soothing profanity and occasional ramblings are simply fabulous.  Fabulous

Try viewing each other's gamercards and toggling mute there. I think you can also try doing that on your computer on xboxlive.com

I have all the same issues you do when trying to play this game but actually I've found playing random matches of Free For All to be a way of getting kills and exp.  I will check the experience levels of the players I'm matched up with and bail if there is a prestige player or two in the group but in most cases I get a pretty decent spread of players.  FFA works for me since I can shoot at anyone I manage to see unlike our TDM matches where if I see someone its either a) a teammate on a killing spree or b) an enemy looking right at me about to shoot me in the face or c) an enemy who accidentally stuck his head out into view and is about to be killed by one of my teammates.  I've accepted the fact that in TDM with GT'ers I may only get 3 kills a match but when I need a break from that then random FFA is my choice.  Still I do like playing with GT'ers since there is communication within the group and it is much more fun to be able to chat with the others.  I did have a FFA match that papasmurf joined in on and that was fun to chat while playing and I can't not mention that even though he kicked my ass all over the map I got a sweet final stand kill on him with a kinetic grenade to the crotch, much fun ensued.

I checked, you weren't muted.  And I believe it says i have open NAT,  No firewall between my 360 and AT&T

I did not see a mute icon over peat or a redx though, just never heard him or saw his talkin speaker light up as speaking...

The possibility of that much profanity intermingling could rupture the space time continuum, so Microsoft has countermeasures in place to prevent a potential catastrophe.

Veteran playthrough complete and all intel collected.

Like KG said, it was far more enjoyable the second time through even with the increased difficulty. The story was a bit more coherent since I knew what was coming except I'm still at a loss to explain

Spoiler for Hiden:
Why shepherd turned. There's no conclusive information that he was in cahoots with makaraev though I guess one could intuit it....

Props to IW for finally getting rid of monster closets in their games.   thumbsup

Doubt I'll be able to do the pit in 30 seconds or less and I doubt I'll ever get all 69 stars (that one race challenge is beyond me and I don't have the patience for racing games/modes/whatevs)

Where do you find intel?  I've played all the way through Whiskey Hotel and haven't found a single intel item.  And I never found a single one in COD4 either.   retard  Where the hell are they hidden?

They are laptops. Sometimes they are out in the open but often they are in side rooms or areas. I found very few of them. One annoying thing is that there are lots of other laptops lying around that are not intel.

I had fun playing with Calvin and Nona last night.  I think I may have pissed them off because I was trying out a new build for me, a Marathon/Lightweight/commando build with the Vector.

I just did it for a change of pace and because it seems everyone else is doing it.  It was a lot of fun and I'm sure pretty frustrating for the other team.  I do not anticipate using the build any more, well, maybe in FFA.

Also, regarding stats, I have set a goal for myself to rank #1 in accuracy amongst people on my friends list.  Right now I'm in 4th place with an accuracy of just under 21%.

I really don't care about stats that much, but accuracy is the most interesting to me.  My KDR is still at 1.06 or so, which sucksc frown

Had my first match last night against a team with multiple people using the akimbo 1887's. It was absolutely ridiculous. Not only were they kicking my ass with the shotguns, but they were kicking my ass with the sniper too. There was at least once where one guy stuck his head out a window, I opened fire right on him with the ACR, but I was the one that died. When I checked the kill cam it appeared that every bullet hit home, as his screen was bouncing around, but he was still able to look down his scope (I saw him and fired first, so his screen was red before he even started aiming) and get one shot off too kill me.

The ridiculous factor in this game is far too high. I'm not sure if it is going to have the long term hold over me like the previous versions did. I want to prestige and do at least one more run through, but at this rate I don't know if I'm going to get close to 70 or not. I might get to level 60 before I go on my trip, but it's a longshot.

wish you hadn't said this... now the competitive side of me wants to make sure you never pass me.  Accuracy was a stat that I ignore.  I found that once I stopped caring about it my k/d shot up.  Spraying the side of a building to get a kill, not hesitating to get a better shot, etc.  Play 100% sniper if you want to increase accuracy.

Yep, you're first on my Friends List.  I don't actually change how I play or anything to increase accuracy, but I just try and concentrate more.  If I concentrated every match, I'm sure my KDR would increase a ton, but for some reason I have a tendacy to do other things while playing or get caught up in a conversation.

Please tell me that this is some almost impossible to activate glitch? I never did see that many jav glitch uses, I'm hoping I never see unlimited noobers.

Welcome to our hell! smile

The 1887's are so rodiculously that it really is becoming a game killer. I agree, I doubt this game will have the long term hold with me either, unless they dramatically reduce the effectiveness of the shotguns, the questionable net code, and the speed of the knifers.

If that glitch works, I may suddenly become far, far more effective at this game.   icon_twisted

If you watch the two videos, it seems like it may be two different glitches. The one with the Barret, the guy is hitting Y over and over and you can see the weapon switching. The other one he just seems to be shooting unlimited grenades.

Oh, and according to the video with the guy hitting Y, this actually works in COD4 and W@W as well.

I hate that.  Hate, hate, hate.  I like the idea of mixing up different weapons' accuracy, damage, and range for variety's sake and to accommodate different playstyles.  In theory.  In practice the whole "hit points" damage model just sucks balls.  I understand it's just a video game, and certain realisms have to be sacrificed for fun, but when someone is able to aim through their scope and one-shot kill me while being shot in the face, that just pisses me off.  And it happens all the time.

My big problem lately has been lag.  Last night I was trying to get some grenade launcher kills with the ACR, and it was so bad that I would pull the trigger, then maybe a second later the grenade would launch, then a second or to after that the explosion would occur.  Playing was basically pointless.
