M.A.V is heavily inspired by Chromehounds. Pretty much sounds like the developer wants to do everything Chromehounds did, along with a singleplayer campaign.

Of course it is a single developer... so there is that.

Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1509489292/mav-modular-assault-vehicle This is for an artist so the dev can focus on coding.

Greenlight:  http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=213963346

Youtube video:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W00hP8NRAXE&feature=youtu.be

I am hopeful that this is as awesome as it looks and sounds. I really miss Chromehounds.

Voted for this on Steam's Greenlight. Looks great so far and I hope the kickstarter makes it's goal

sadly now that we have voice chat like we do, the best feature of chromehounds won't ever work again.

you could only talk to friendlies if and relay info if they were in range of you and/or a comm tower or a mech equipped with a com booster.  Once party chat came out (on on pc at all due to voice chat programs) it killed this entire aspect of the game.  It was quite fun/realistic/tense to lose contact with a friendly unit during the fray.

Tangent:  In the preview pane when I'm looking at the full forum list, this topic comes up as "Miss Chromehounds...".

Somehow, my mind's eye parsed that as a giant mech with a beauty pageant sash draped across it.  smile
