Official site:
http://www.minininjas.com/

They've confirmed release dates of Sept. 8 in North America and Sept. 11 in most other countries (I assume the latter date is still wisely ixnay - for obvious reasons - as a release date for anything here), and in October for Germany and France.

It's E-rated and nothing like I'd expect from the developers of Hitman, Freedom Fighters and Kane&Lynch but given what seemed to be deteriorating sales, maybe a change in style was called for.

I downloaded it quickly from the main game site and gave it a try. Overall it seems like it could be fun, but I got to the castle and pushed "A" at the gate and nothing happened. I tried the other two ninjas and still they couldn't get in. So, either that is the end of the demo or I already found a glitch.

I saw in some older previews (based on watching a "hands-off" demo) some mention of crossing a moat?

Before making his way inside the castle to face a towering boss, we see Hiro use his hat as a makeshift boat, paddling across the castle’s moat to avoid confrontation.
Dunno if that means anything - the preview demo could have been of a completely different level.

Demo was fun. On the PS3 you had to shake the controller to push the castle wall open. An image of a shaken controller was put on the screen.

If it's like the PC demo, I think you have to push the button down repeatedly, not just once. And perhaps use the big fellow with the hammer? Oh, "A" key not "A" button I guess... thought you had to press the spacebar.  icon_confused

I really wish games would stop incorporating repetitive motions into them to do simple things.  How is shaking a controller or pushing a button down repeatedly more fun than pressing a button and having it do what you want it to?

As for the demo in general I really wanted to like it but found it mediocre at best.  It could probably be fun for the right person but there are far better 3rd person platformer/fighters.
