I really loved the first Arcade Treasures and although they removed Mortal Kombat 1 and STUN Runner at the last minute and replaced them with some so-so games, I am still looking forward to this one.
My Top 5 from this collection:
NARC Mortal Kombat 2 Arch Rivals Hard Drivin Total Carnage
I hear the have redesigned the interface on this one as well. Thank GOD! I hated the last versions interface. It was just horrible.
Oh and Kingdom Under Fire is going to finally be out on Wednesday. I am a big fan of the Dynasty Warriors series, so this game is a no brainer for me as well.
Looks like another good gaming week...

Especially interested in KUF, hopefully the numerous delays will result in a polished final product. The party-management phase in the game adds an added interest level for me.

Wait... They pulled STUN Runner? Those sneaky ninja bastards... I guess my Atari Lynx version will be the only one that ever arrived on a home console... Too bad, really.

Yep, they pulled Mortal Kombat (so they could have it on the Kollectors Editon of MK:D) and STUN Runner (emulation problems?) and replaced them with: Kozmik Kroozr', Timber and Wacko. :?

MK I can understand, but Stun Runner? Emulation problems in this day and age? You can't throw a stick without hitting an emulator of somesort nowadays. I'm also well versed in video gaming, but I've never heard of any of those replacements. Time to get my brain up to date.

Well, I know that STUN Runner runs very slow on MAME (with a fast computer), so maybe they were having problems getting the game to run at a decent speed on the PS2/Xbox.

And here I thought that MAME supported any standard 3d accelerator card nowadays for those kind of games. *shrugs* Anyway, enough about emulation. I wonder why they just didn't port the Atari Lynx version instead? It had voice and everything, and moved at a pretty good clip considering the lack of raw power in the console.

Zaxxon,
This is a completely different KUF. It's not the RTS, it's a free-roaming fighting game like the Dynasty Warriors series. Think... Double Dragon in 3D with a LOT more going on. You are right down in the middle of battles between huge armies.

You are right down in the middle of battles between huge armies. ooo, and real-time strategy as well. Not that it's an RTS, but it *is* a real time strategy game. Sort of. And a turn-based strategy too. (between battles, the demo seemed to hint at multiple options) Oh, and an RPG as you can level up and learn new skills / upgrade troops based on experience. <sigh> I think I talked myself into *another* game to buy.

Kingdom Under Fire is looking good and I've read some good things on it, but Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door is out this week, and my love of Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga plus the rave reviews on it are calling it to much higher attention...
However I will find away to get both.. I allways do...

Probably because the Lynx version looked absolutely horrible compared to the arcade version. The ship was just a blob of blue, and the track wasn't much better. Edit: Oh, and villagers demand more KUF impressions! I had almost zero interest in the game, but while picking up Paper Mario I played the Xbox demo and was immediately hooked. I'm curious to hear how the full game turned out (although IGN liked it).

Midway's Greatest Hits and Bloodrayne 2 are both out for PS2/X-Box at my Wal-Mart.
We're also being told that we'll be getting the X-Box holiday bundle and the PSTwo sometime 'in mid-October'. which is odd, as Sony's said the PSTwo is due out 11-2.

I'll be picking up MAT2 tomorrow. But after playing the demo I'm honestly surprised at the interest in KUF. I just felt underwhelmed by it. The graphics were not very good and voice acting was, IMHO, very bad. I'll admit that I've never been in to the Dynasty Warriors gameplay style, but I've always understood why some would enjoy them. What am I missing about KUF that makes it so good? Is the final version different/improved over the demo?

Cyberball.
I dumped so much money into that game as a teenager that I should have gotten a free copy of this :-).
Curious....do the games support multiplayer (same console) as well?
Great to see a thread about it.

Yep. Most support the full amount of players that they had in the arcade.

If someone has this, could they check to see if Cyberball actually supports multiple player games?
I ask because the actual arcade version had separate screens for each.
Thanks!

While I am anxiously awaiting my copy, can some one answer a question for me. Are the Mortal Kombat versions exact translations from the arcade?
