Ugh, not really needing a character like that. I hope at least she is available to be sacrificed at some point for a greater good.

Considering that you're assembling a suicide squad, and there's 10 squad member slots, main characters will probably be dropping a bit more often since you'll have more left over.  Tongue

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!

I'll be shocked if they do.  With them announcing a concrete date 3 months out *and* the fact that it's releasing in January and not March, I'm hazarding a guess that they probably could have had it ready for holiday release if they wanted to but pushed it into early  next year for strategic reasons (likely so as not to compete with themselves with Dragon Age).

I was expecting March, so this is good news for me.

Gives me time to finish dragon age too.

If I expect it to get delayed it won't be annoying if it does.

let the pre-order madness begin.  also, here's a preview of the Dark Horse Mass Effect comic.

A new video popped up on G4, it contains a significant amount of high res combat gameplay footage, it's not quick cuts either, you can really get a feel for the changes.

However, it is a slight spoiler, there's two new enemy types shown and considering how much of them there are, probably gives away the major theme of one of the major story missions on a planet...
Spoiler for Hiden:
And points to at least one of those disappearing human colonies having a resident evil moment where the entire populace gets turned into husks, and we also see multiple types of husks including a big guy with a ranged attack.

I don't understand why you would get the CE.  Is a tin case and a comic book really worth the extra money?

it's more than that:

Quote
comes in a premium, tin case and includes the full version of the game, a 48-page hardcover “Art of Mass Effect 2” book, Issue 1 of the Mass Effect Redemption comic book, and a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes and making-of videos. In addition, the Mass Effect 2 Collectors’ Edition will include unique in-game weapons and armor that can only be obtained by purchasing this version.

I imagine the unique weapons/armor will be available as DLC at some point, but even then I'd still be paying for the points to get them.

i have a steel case for both Bioshock and Dead Rising, they are really nice slick cases....however i did have the steel case for Mass Effect 1,and that wasn't nearly as cool as the Bioshock and Dead Rising steel cases...it was fatter, and clunckier if thats a word

with the Book and the Comic and DVD,for an extra 10 bucks<<look i speak American icon_biggrin...or 5-10 quid<<<<and English Tongue
is a pretty cool deal, especially if you are massive ME fans

*your regular games are usually $60 right?

Yep, I think it was.

It also looks like the Normandy got an overhaul.  It no longer has robotech style moving engine nacelles, instead the engines are integrated into the wings.

Joker is always sarcastic which is kinda the token type of humor in the gaming world. At least, that's why I figured they called him that.

Yeah, I don't think the intention was for him to be genuinely funny. He's just got a twisted sarcastic style that makes him sound like he's joking when he's often just bitter.

this, and it fits him very well, thank you.

I just got the CE edition of DA:Origins so I'll have the cool looking Dragon Armor for this game...however much I *hate* that kind of cross-promotion I kinda like that I have acces to the armor ;-) This is one of my most anticipated games - I'll be buying the books as well I think soon

Reminds me, I need to see if I can convince one of my female friends to go as an Asari to the next big convention, I'm trying to put a Shepard armor costume together.

I was also this close to watching hat Garrus video.  I'm pretty sure all the past party members that are still alive in your save will make an appearance.  It's not surprise and no spoiler that Garrus shows up at some point, but I'll leave it a surprise as to his reaction.

I still don't see a reason to pay the extra money.  I can't envision ever watching that DVD. I may filp through the book one time, and the tin case would probably not fit into my game shelf anyway.

Also I am not paying real money to get in game weapons far a single player game.

Yeah I know why and how he got the name. I just found that since I immediately recognized the voice it was an immediate put off of the character. Instant dislike. I don't mind Seth Green occasionally but this wasn't one of the times.

to each their own.  I plan on reading the Dark Horse comic series, so getting issue one this way justifies 4 of the 10 extra bucks in my case.  the tin box will look nice on the game shelf next to my other CE's, although the Warhammer online and LotRO ones may dwarf it.

Are there any CE's you *would* pay money for?  Because that stuff is pretty much standard for CEs these days- making of videos, art books, in game items, etc.  But then again, that's kind of the point.  CEs are supposed to be for people are big enough fans to be interested in those types of materials.

Is it from the beginning of the game?

I'm actually fine if it goes through from the beginning, to me that's a preview.  However, it looks like this one is later in the game so, I'm not watching.

Not clear where it is.  Didn't seem very spoilery out of context.  I only watched a few minute though- just to once again confirm it looks awesome.
