I've been anxiously awaiting the release of this character pack, me and a friend of mine have played through MUA on normal and have been waiting for the pack to play through it on hard mode. The new characters include Dr. Doom, Magneto, Sabertooth, Venom, The Hulk, Hawkeye, Cyclops, and Nightcrawler. I have to say, these characters bring the game to a new level of coolness. They really made it so that every character adds something to the table and are very unique, the best part is that their super powers look sweet as hell. Magneto is like, the king of Uberness! Anyhow, there's not a whole lot to say, the developers did a really good job of making these new characters as cool as possible, if you were looking for a reason to play through the game again it is certainly worthwhile to develop these new heroes and villains.

I've been really enjoying Dr Doom except that he seems to yell 'Crap!' every time he jumps

No, that's his cousin: Dr. Deuce.

I may pick these up eventually- I hear there are some funny mistakes that they didn't catch like Dr. Bruce Banner talking to your party with the Hulk in it.

That happens all the time even without the expansion pack.

Since Hulk isn't playable until you get the pack, how is this possible?

Obviously not with this character, but I've had moments where I've been briefed (or am talking to) by somebody I already have in my party.

I like when Silver Surfer surfed in to save the day for me.  Even though he was already in my party.

If you're so uber, why don't you do that all the time, instead of just being my heal bot, dammit!

The developers don't try to hide those type of character conflicts, I don't think most people who are playing the game really care too much about the storyline enough to make a stink about it anyhow. There are, however, some bugs in the game that I wish could have been ironed out. For example when escorting an NPC, in the case I experienced last night with Dum Dum Dugan, the AI commands don't work properly. I would set him to defense and he would still run his ass to the middle of the fray. Also, because Nightcrawler can stealth, he can literally walk through an entire level without a single confrontation.

How do you get Silver Surfer though? Him, Daredevil, and Panther are the only characters I have left to unlock.

It's been a while, but I think you get Silver Surfer by beating all of the comic book missions.  I'm not sure about Daredevil and Panther, but I think you get them by finding statues.  I really enjoyed this game.  I don't think the DLC is worth it, but I'm thinking about it.  I would like to replay this game on hard.

and some copies of the game had special codes printed on cards for unlocking the Surfer or Daredevil depending on which store you bought the game from.  It was one of those 'Gamestop/Best Buy exclusives' that took all of five seconds to be plastered across the net-  If you dig up the old impressions thread I think Destructor posted them in there.

That I did, but I'll just post them here again:

And for the two 'exclusive' characters obtainable via Gamestop and EB... Do the following at the Character Select Screen (where you can build your team):

Daredevil:  Left, left, right, right, up, down, up, down, start
Silver Surfer:  Down, Left, Left, Up, Right, Up, Down, Left, start

Word of warning - if you come across any other codes to enter in, do NOT do so until you beat the game. You completely and totally disable the ability to gain further Achievement Points unless you start over. The two codes above are safe to enter.

I would note that you get an achievement for unlocking the Silver Surfer the legit way.  I don't know if you get it for unlocking it via code.

You don't get the achievements until you unlock them legit.  I have silver surfer and dare devil playable, but don't have the silver surfer achievement yet, while I do have the daredevil one.

In any event, it's not a particularly difficult achievement to unlock.

Now that the gold edition is coming out the old edition should be dropping in price.
